Towards Lyon > Annecy then Annemasse/Cluses direction for Monte Bianco.

Yes. But you just skirt around the south side...which is French.
From memory, if you hire a car at Geneva airport, you need to be careful to take it back to the right part..there is a French and a Swiss side! (Though it is iin Switzerland..odd)

Yeah I remember the little back road to avoid driving the hire car in Switzerland. I fly into Geneva reasonably often as my lad lives in Chamonix.
