Isnt the new model exactly the same as that model? As in there has been no changes.

OP may want tubeless rims? Also the new ones are Euro 5plus?

Anyway, it's identical to mine which now has 11k miles and returns over 70 mpg and has had zero issues in two years. GLWS.

IMHO these are massively underrated, since buying mine I’ve toured the Balkans on and off road and did a two up trip around Kerala India on rented himmys. In both instances the bikes far exceeded expectations, even 2 up touring, to the extent that I sold my 1300gs as it wasn’t being used. This is a bargain for someone GLWS Phil.

I took one out friday for a test ride as i missed out at abr, I was amazed how easy and fun it was to ride, i was concerned about how it would handle my luggage and daughter when we go riding but sounds like your saying its pretty good at handling the load

Just back from a trip to the Isle of Wight and back. The bike performed faultlessly. These bikes are in my opinion amazing. It will sit happily at 80 mph and will hit 90 mph if needed. Fuel consumption is in mid seventies and if you select eco mode it will return 100 mpg.
They are also light and much easier to manage than the bigger GS’s obviously.
I am more than happy to keep this bike if it doesn’t sell as I was only going to buy a brand new one as I have a bit of spare cash to squander.

The 450 first edition is a very good motorcycle. Maybe spend a bit of your bunce on some alternative luggage, perhaps. I have a choice of: RE’s own, retained when I sold my 411. Some Givi, bought off the forum and some soft pannier bags. I’ve also got a choice of tail packs, left over from assorted bikes in the past. I can mix and match to my heart’s content.

I do have a cruise controller fitted, simply to set when I trundle down the M20 to the Chunnel or for some bits of French payage.

Yeah im in deep consideration og buying one, but then i came home and rode my old gs an was like dam this is good. However when ever i approach a step junction in wales covers in gravel im like....dam this is not good
