I am thinking of fitting additional mirrors to my 2010 RT.

Anyone else done similar?

I know I don't want the round BMW style.

Any recommendations/advice etc?

Thanks. :thumb2

Have not done so yet (09 model) .. but defn will .. std they are crap !
How on earth did they manage to design a bike where you can't see properly behind you ??. You will be needing a different solution to me - discussed on here a while back.

Lots of people fit ancilliary mirrors. Personally i've never had a problem with the standard mirrors.

One of the reasons for fitting them is to accomodate handlebar muffs that block your view of the oem mirrors

I have a '08 bike so am able to use the legacy mounts on the bars. I use the HG ones at £12.99 and will continue using same when I (eventually) remove the muffs next month

I dont mind the standard ones but I have stuck on small blind spot mirrors which help. I also have the handlebar risers which helps with the vision.

Neither have I.

Ebay mirrors look good but expensive??

Having said that if its the best alternative then I might get a set as well :thumb

I don't think they are as expensive as they first appear.

They come with the adaptor brackets for 2010 onwards.........Nippy Normans wanted £38 for a pair of those + postage..........so maybe not so bad after all. :thumb

Fair enough, let us know what you think of them :thumb

They look good, and seem good value to me - as long as they work! Any joy yet?

I have to say I rate the original mirrors though - took a little getting used to, but never had a problem. I agree with Bike magazine (for once) - "like two HD screens" (sic).
