Some of you may recall that I recently acquired a 1990 TDR250 (Scouse shell suit pink blue and green FFS!) howler monkey? No? Oh well, I did.
So, gets the fecker running properly after the previous muppet had shoved 10W40 into the 2T oild tank
, then turns attentions to the brakes.
This fearsome ( well, stinky minger) stroker has a massive 4 pot caliper on the front similar to an R6, and the usual single pot on the rear.
After copious amounts of easing oil and patience, I still managed to shear off the bleed nipple on the rear caliper.
I took both calipers into RD5 in Warrington today. Jono (The Rudiemoto bit) stripped both calipers down, did a whizzbang thingy with the stripped thread, put an insert in, cleaned the lot up and had me ready to go again within an hour.
Much obliged Jono! Yer a star!
And Tony took another few quid off me for parts, so everyone's happy!
And Tony's still got a sale on to mark his second anniversary.
