The short answer is yes.
Why has it taken us so long? Well we don't make something, shout about it on here, have it lovingly polished on the backside of a Tosser and then say we don't like it and have to redesign it.
Oh, and we also want it to be suitable for use when you're offroading. It's not just bling, it is a proper protective item.
We have designed the bashplate and it has been thoroughly tested in all weathers and both on and offroad. This led to a few changes having to be made. Then it had to be tested again. We also had to make sure it fits both the GS and GSA and to check all the different years to make sure it fits them all. This again, led to some design changes.
We have to make sure that the fixing brackets are heady duty, without adding too much weight. We needed to ensure that the bashplate protects your bike when offroading.
All of this takes time, and yes it has been a year. Bashplates are extremely complicated items to make and manufacture.
We have now completed all of the tests and modifications and it is in the final drawing stage. Once this is complete we will commence manufacture. The manufacturing time is approximately 4 weeks.
It might have taken us a while, but it will be worth the wait
