Soooooo tempted to purchase a Rukka suit are they worth the money , my furygan suit at the minute isn't very good at all , but trying to justify spending the money that Rukka ask :thumb2

They are now made in China and as a consequence the current bikermate popular opinion is that they are absolute shite.

Lots of threads on the subject, some very recent.

Pull up a chair, sup a brew or a nice single (all bikermate advice starts this way, I have no idea why) and scroll down in this section. It's really what your left handed mouse is for.

All subjective of course ...my original Arma S (pre China) failed on a couple of counts. Replaced but had to wait a while while all operations moved to China

Replacement came ... better than the original, in my book. Certainly fairing better than the original, no fraying of the collar, no probs with the zips.Looking at it you certainly wouldn't be able to tell any difference in quality :D

Well worth the money to me ... but I don't sit pontificating like some on here, I ride mi 'bike :rob

If you do decide to go down the Rukka route Fc Moto, Bikerland or Louis in Germany are usually far cheaper than buying in the UK

Mine has been totally waterproof, no problems with the zips etc ,fine for the UK all year around BUT it has very little ventilation and if you go anywhere hot ie Europe in the Summer once the tempearture rises above say 22 degrees it is far too hot .

Got a good deal from moto legends cheaper than fc moto aswell

My jacket is original Rukka Armas and pants are Wukka, both seem ok. Would I pay around 1k for them again possibly not.
They are a three season suit at best, the feeling of protection from wearing them makes you feel you'd be ok in an off, as two of my mates can justify too.
But I hate wearing them because they are heavy and you feel truused up in them, the linings in the pants are a pain when putting the trousers on,
I've always rated the BM stuff and I'm not a badge bitch the new enduro suit looks interesting.?
You pays your money and makes the choice,if it is Rukka then I'd get from bikerland.de top knotch firm
Bad time at the minute with the exhange though

Couldn't get on with the rubber zipper on mine and the jacket came open leading to a couple of wet incidents. It went back for an Armaxis which I felt was much better with a large toothed normal zip.

Never ever used the linings in the pants ...pair of thermal long johns quite sufficient even in -5 degrees :rob

Never found the rubber zip a problem ... came apart a couple of times but I clearly hadn't fastened it correctly. I love it :thumb

Zip really needs to be lubricated every month or so with a silicon lubricant pen ..........once done it gives no problems.

Never had the liners in mine even in winter

olive oil works just as well. Easier too. Dip fingers, run up sides..job done

Just bought a Armaxis jacket (can't afford the troosers yet!), only had it avout 6 weeks so can't comment on long term reliability. Certainly seems a quality made premium product, still very stiff but gives you the feeling that if your ever unfortunate enough to find yourself sliding down Tarmac or gravel this is the sort of gear you want to be wearing.
The double cuff design is fantastic but as has been mentioned venting seems marginal at best. I'm prepared to consider it a 3 season winter jacket becouse I do enough winter miles to warrant it.....ill make my own mind up when summer comes.
Are the new Chinese made jackets worse than the old ones....no idea....Bikermate bought one in the summer to replace his leaking BMW suit and is more than happy with it. Another long time Rukka user replaced his after sliding down the road under a quarter of a ton of GSA, trashing both jacket and trousers beyond repair but walked away unscathed. He has reported no negative comments about his far eastern replacement.
I assure you I didn't drop £850 on a jacket without doing some homework, and although I took on board the Internet comments on a drop in quality since moving production to China, nobody.....and I mean absolutely nobody, that I've talked to in person had a bad word to say about them.

Not very good in hot weather - they have virtually no ventilation possibilities. Other than that a good jacket with decent pockets.

I would suggest you check it over before parting with your cash.

I bought mine at NEC and was very happy with it until yesterday/today. Jacket was a 4-5 years old stock with old type (pre D3O which was introduced in 2012/2013) shoulder and elbow armour and was missing/not included back protector. Yesterday while taking it off I thought Im fed up with this liner sleeve coming out every time I remove my jacket. On closer inspection, I noticed that the loop that holds liner to the jacket was torn. This morning I spoke to a friend who used to sell Rukka at the local store and he told me that I was sold old stock that was potentially kicking about at the warehouse for years. I ended up getting it exchanged for a Armaxion jacket, although I was looking at the Navigator as it is more of a adventure cut, however I did not like all those pockets that it has going on at the front.

Take the liners out of the jacket and trousers, from new. Never ever use them. Put them in a bag and sell them on when you sell the suit. The new owner will love you.

The 'rubber' zips are fine, unless you are a chimp. Many are.

Trust me on all of the above.

PS Lovin' the post above. Old stock being off loaded to bikermate as a bargain at the NEC. Whoever would have guessed? There again, maybe his mate was pulling his chain? You know: Earnestlook on face, rubbing of chin, a bit of teeth sucking and, "Mate, I don't know how to tell you this but...."

I have the Armaxis jacket and Armaxion trousers- I didn't like the stiffness or zip of the Armas.

I've had them for 2 seasons and not a drop of water has passed though.
Motolegends do great deals- they beat the lowest price I could find by 10%, putting it on par with what I would have paid from any of the European stores plus I got the extended warranty.
Very happy but in the summer I wear either a Belstaff jacket and kevlar jeans or a Rukka Airman mesh suit for touring.
