Rukka Clothing!

Rukka gear.

Brought my first rukka jacket in a sale at motor cycle city (remember them?) nine years ago,
still going strong, brought another at two years ago. End of line from infinity motorcycles, pointed in this direction by the man on the Rukka stand!. "£249.00. I havent worn it yet as it's still in the wardrobe but what a bargin.
The only problem with Rukkas is they are too warm in summer having no vents.
When riding in hot climates (death vally) shirt sleeves and sun block were resorted to, have just brought a s/h rallye two jacket for a forth comming trip through the tropics, but really Rukka are tops, with a ralle 2 for DRY HOT,
riding ideal for Morocco etc. Rukka is the way to go, do look out for "end of range" gear as this has been good for me, belive a five year warrenty is the norm.

...My Dainese stuff started falling to bits in less than 12months but I do drive all year round.

..The GLA dealer (VD - Honda) werent interested as I couldnt produce the receipt, even though they know I bought it from them.

....Went through 6 pairs of Dainese Gortex glove over 6 months before getting my 90 nupes back....

...Wont buy anymore Dainese Gortex gear and wont spend another penny in VD.

damp crotch in my rukka Atech yesterday :(
...had exactly the same on my Atech trousers last year. Sent them off via the dealer - loan trousers were provided whilst away. About a month later I was given a brand new pair. Can't really complain.

dealer thinks i've got betty swollocks

i think they leak, but have agreed to test further. he says when they leak you can feel water coming in, not just a bit damp.

he's a genuine bloke, so i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. plenty of warranty left so no problem.

Rukka - best stuff I've ever had. I've got the basic stuff and am never concerned when it rains. Well worth the money in my opinion!:thumb

In the market...

Having had a Rallye Pro 2 suit on order since September 1st, I'm getting tired of waiting for BMW (Williams, Manchester) to deliver, so I have had a look in Hein Gericke Tuareg and at the Rukka Allroad suits.
To be fair the HG suit looks good and has removeable internal liner for summer riding (+35c), and the price of the full suit is way cheaper than the BMW kit.
Reading the Rukka Allroad blurb, it sound the mutt's nuts.....but the price? Feck me, it's mega money!
I have had a HG Tuareg suit in use since 1997 and it's served me well.
Still fancy the Rukka, but that price, ouch.
Timpo.

The main reasons I went for Rukka is the 5 year guarantee and having the goretex liner built in.

Hein Gericke kit only lasts me two years before it needs replacing. Bearing that in mind the Rukka kit (cheaper end of the range admittedly) makes more sense.

Timpo, ive just purchased , the rukka allroad pants price was about £320 , not sure what this compares to what you have been quoted ? got them from www.biker-land.de had excellent service from them :thumb

trousers look excellent quality not had a chance to try them yet tho :nono

just need to start saving for the jacket now !:mmmm

buy the "laminated" gore tex stuff - not the "normal"

first time round i bought the normal rukka gore tex stuff....it was waterproof but it soaked up water like a sponge and got heavy - it took more than a day for it to dry out-

upgraded to the laminated gore tex 6 months ago (like a lotus leaf) the water beeds and is not absorbed.......very impressive kit..

not sure if its worth the £1000 + price for jacket and trousers but it is a kazillion (i made that word up) times better than anything else i have had in the past. . . :clap
