Ok, am looking to become (as I heard the other day) a "Rukka Fukka" .

I am chest size 40' waist 34 '. Currently wear a rallye 3 twat suit in size 52 jacket, 50 troos

Twat jacket is a tad loose (as its effectively a large), which is ok as in winter I like to squeeze a Gebring heated jacket under it, troos fit fine.

Question is, what is the Rukka fit like, was thinking of getting an Arma s get up. Is it a fitted fit, or is it a bit more generous? Yes I know I should try one one especially as I will need a second mortgage to buy one, but I intend to buy online from Germany and save a bit of cash, and want to avoid getting the wrong size and shipping it back blah blah.

Anyone here got any experience?

TIA. :D

Hi,

I've got a Pro 2 jacket and a Rukka Armas both size 52.

The Pro 2 is a snugger fit than the Rukka, which I find a little looser fit.

Not very scientific but hope it helps :beerjug:

(if I were you, I would nip into your nearest Rukka stockist and try all the
sizes, then order from the web ;))

find a local stockist...try said kit on for size...decide if its roomy enough for all seasons...then go to biker land de and buy it online.....for a big saving...

worked for me ....:D

Not my experience, but a mate has just bought an Armas suit. Tried it on before he bought, but didn't sit down in the pants. Subsequently found that in the riding position they were too tight over the thighs and hips even though the waste was fine, so had to take them back and go up a size.

Same for me too.

Try them 1st.
Infinity Motorcycles usually have good stock. I bought an Arma s suit at the Nec from them and got a very good deal. I had to go up a size in jacket than I normally fit. They also advertise that they will match any price , and they did for me on some Forcefield armour , but wether that applies to continental prices , I don,t know !

Ps. Rukka. Absolutely Brilliant kit

Not fat enough...

Having a 34" waist is pointless if you're riding a GS. For goodness sake, have you seen the average build of all us other twatters? It's so that the suspension has something to work against...

Go and eat some chips, burger, whole chicken, half a cow...

I have the Arma S set up and it fits me very well .. Standard sort off bloke ... Maybe not the average Tosser but there ya go !

Yep think that's the go, there is a branch of infinity motorcycles near me which I keep forgetting about. Might go and bother them tomorrow. Already bookmarked the German site.....:D

Don't worry, it's going he right way. At my peak of physical fitness when I were a cycle racer, my waist was.........28'.

Thanks for be replies so far chaps ! :thumb2

Try the dainese stradon jacket and lotan pants, they are great. Pro shell goretex and available from motocard.com at a great price. I have mine a while now, I prefer to the rukka.

Hi

I have been in a arma s form past 3 years. Brilliant bit of kit.

Size - do try on but if it helps I'm 6foot4 33 waist, 40-42chest (driven mainly by arm length).

After trying on (you can get std short and long in trousers if I recall).

I bought

Jacket 52
Trouser 50

I was worried about how "good" a fit it was in comparison with previous bike gear and how to put layers on underneath.

Interesting learning experience, but stuff that fits, you won't need the thick extra layers just thermal base and perhaps if very fold something like a sleeka jacket.

I found it very strange buying kit for a shed load of money which had no real space for extra layers but trust me - get a good close fit - part of the greatness about the rumba stuff is no flapping material etc.

Hope this helps

I've found the arma s to be a bit snug around the groin area. No I'm not Ron Jeremy, but the 52 I had in the trousers were very tight ( I'm around a 36 to 38 in waist, depending on pie consumption.
Anyway they got stretched and leaked and the fly broke.
I bought a 54 to replace and sent 52 for repair under warranty.
Rukka have given me a brand new pair to replace them. I have them on eBay, but people keep offering silly money. They stil have 3.5 years of warranty with the receipt. If you make me a sensible offer that reflects the reduced warranty, you can get an even cheaper pair of brand new Arma s 52 standard length.

Hope that doesn't break any forum rules. Sorry if it does. Feel free to delete and berate.

I thought that I was a Euro 50 size but didn't want to risk buying Rukka Armas without first trying for size. Went to Bike Stop in Stevenage and after trying the 50, ended up with a 50 jacket and 48 short length trousers which they had to get in for me to try.

They did agree to match a much better price that I'd found on the net and I'm real glad that I tried them on first. The good thing about buying locally is that it is so much easier to sort out if there are any warranty issues. I've had replacement jacket and trousers under warranty and three pairs of Rukka gloves so far.

My Rallye 3 jacket is comfy at size 56

My Rukka is comfy, but a slightly snugger fit at size 54, but the size 56 was far too large at the bottom & would have been very draughty.

Definately different cuts.
