Hi all,
I've messed up. While faffing around the bike last night I managed to burn a big hole in the back of my nearly new Rukka Pro trousers :thedummy Worse still they are only a few months old as I bougth them at the NEC. :( The damage appears to only be to the outer material and hopefuly the GoreTex is still ok.

Spoken to the Uk disti Tran Am who were extremely helpfull and offered to send them back to Finland for a quote on a repair.

Has anyone any experience of getting Rukka kit repaired (either on warranty or for foolishness like my case)? I have a nasty feeling that a repair is going to cost almost as much as a new set of trousers.

Jon.

"nine lives clothing" in guildford, surrey are the official repairer as far as i know. I heard they've moved, but if they're still in guildford then they're on 01483 454441. I had Rukka jackets and trousers amended. Top quality workmanship !!

hi there
"send them back to Finland for a quote":blast
you must be kidding?

i took my rukka jacket back to my local rukka supplier dealer(didn't even get the rukka from them:augie
they sent it back to 2nine lives for me.under guarantee no cost:D

i've had rukka stuff repaired under warranty more than once - i am pretty sure it didn't go to finland for the repairs (it never took that long to get the stuff back) - and "infinity" always give me a loan jacket in my size (like a courtesy bike - may not be the same model jacket but they do give me a jacket on loadn F.O.C.)

i know your claim is not warranty - but i wouldn't send it back to finland!

Nine lives can do textiles as well now? That's useful to know, they did good work on some leathers for me some years back.

I did exactly the same on my blackbird exhaust.....took em to 9 lives and they did a panel replacement for £35 and turned it around in 5 days. Cool job....give em a call:thumb

Hi, I had my Air Flow trousers sent to Finland (via Infinity)last summer after a spill - they quoted £189 plus VAT because they were going to rpelace the whole leg. I got them done by nine lives for £50! Perfectly good repair. Highly recommended - they're now in Aldershot, just around the corner from Infinity:thumb

...if the whole is not to big you can buy pukka gortex patches which you simple iron on

...I patched a pretty big whole in my dainese trousers - took me 15 mins and was still water tight after 12 months...

They do the Armacor material as well. Wish I'd known that earlier.

Took my suit to Infinity in Farnborough after my spill in Oct. I've been quoted £600 for the repair (quite a few panels with small holes and several zips had broken). As it was Armacor, I thought it couldn't go anywhere apart from back to Rukka. And Im still waiting :(

Perfect, just what I was looking for :thumb2

Dropped the front wheel of my bike into an uncovered drain last night and burnt the leg of my Tuareg trousers on the header pipe lifting the fecker out :blast the smell was fecking awful. I wasn't sure where I'd managed to burn them until I got to some lights earlier and took a look down after starting to feel nausious. :eek

Hopefully the gore-tex is okay, seems to have just done the top layer.
