Same as before, no planning, no prep, the only advantage we've had one go at this and atleast we know roughly what not to do.:blast

This again is an early trip so weather could be an issue....

Schedule

we leave the night of the 5th, all day travel the 6th and arrive 7th April 2012 for the off.... at about 10.00AM

Route

Well I'm hoping to do the over the top route to Ullapool but, there's no rules and really it's just a matter of heading any direction you want....or think you can manage...

The Event

Normal format it's an unofficial tag along, there's no rules, no marshalls, if your there to have a go. Great if not then you can follow it on the forum, as stated if you do have a go then your on your own. I accept no liability, there are proper risks. "Dave Mr. Red" got run over in the lakes...:blast brushed himself down and started again. (we thought he was a gonna) Anyway at the start, we all stand about at the carpark by the cafe, drinking tea... trying to be polite and looking forward to what is gonna happen.... there's a moment when we realise there's nothing for it and we all scramble towards the bikes. Nobody wants to be last out carpark, it's bad luck. I got to cross road first and promply broke down... :blast so being first isn't much better....:D

The reality is we know it's just stupid, I have beautiful 1150 all prepped for round the world travel and I'm going back to try my luck again on a small, underpowered, unprepaired moped.... to cover the distance of around 1,000 + miles :blast

Duncan is 2012's "Mr. Red" thinks this trip is easy, having watched LWR etc.... he's in for a shock....:D he'll be posting his thoughts with a bit of luck on the FB page. There's a couple of other prospects....

So if you think your mentally able to deal with this challenge... why not try it for yourself.....

"The First Rule of Moped Club.....! There are no rules....!"

Riders

Duncan C. on the might Red C90
Me on a mystery machine
Adrian with abit of luck on a 100cc trials bike (subject to work anf getting it working

The man with "No Name except that one!" on Green if his fight for life allows it.
Stuart C. looking for a bike
Chris T. looking for a bike

Chris M might be joining us... looking at work we've got up an coming

that's the riders and it for the start...

Support

Charles E. is being parachuted in to take the Van away once the Mopeds dropped off then he leaves... and then it all goes wrong.....:blast again....:blast

can it be a twist and go?or twist and splut?

the first rule of "moped club" there are no rules....:D

if you can make it that's all that matters....the bike is secondary and the rest well it's all down hill....:thumb2

I've just registered on the www.C90club.co.uk incase anyone else needs spares or bikes.... seems a busy forum....

here's a few pictures of some random bits of kit and another adventure moped rider....

Obviously I did shamelessly nick the picture off the web.... but it does look cool as....:thumb2

This could become a 3D filming project, for us I've just got dream up a reason how I can slope off with the kit. the extra person I need to act as stereographer. Workout the risk and how much insurance is required to see if I can pop my 3D heads on the project.

I've been keen as mustard to make a 3D film, for atleast a couple of years. Just to see what it would look like. What's worse did offer this to a few people in the motorcycle industry but... Well let's say while they maybe experts in bolting stuff to bikes for celeb's to go round the world on. I have to be blunt and would say they (from what I've encountered) lack a certain ability to see beyond their self opinionated noses, in an objective and business like fashion at what is a good deal and what would make an excellent PR project. All people have to do is look at the TT in 3D it's done pretty good business... and gave us a spin off with boat building dude.

that's about it seems we have another rider when he's off his contract in Somalia.

and I got a new 90cc motor for brown of ebay for £30... just need to pick that up. sadly the image is not of the engine I bought, the engine I bought is some rough piece of crap....:blast

I'll punt this over to "Open Invite Trips" as it's just getting lost in the current melee in the B&B.:thumb2

good point, Thanks for tidying up.... I really need to take time and workout how this forum works... one day....:blast

had a reasonable chat with the bloke at combat stress, he's gonna send me a pack about what they do and more importantly what they need.

I've got a meeting with my mate tomorrow to discuss a couple ideas he's got. Then I've got another meeting in the afternoon with someone else who's thinking about coming along.

first 40 secs are pretty boring but the last bit is well good.....

I thought I should update this....

We went off on friday collecting another C90 and a 70cc townmate which is a shaft driven... monster

Over Christmas we'll start the stripping down and rebuilding process, then we'll get the MOT's sorted in early January....

We've got a pack from Combat Stress for whom we're going to collect funds and I've got a meeting with them in jan 2012.

just a quick update

we've made some space and will be starting the repairs to Green, Brown and a the blue townmate, Red is in safe hands of a chap called Duncan... there's been some meetings in the secret room on face book to do with this and Guy and I are heading to a meeting with Combat Stress later this month. We're also looking for some camp sites that'll allow open fires... and mayhem... which is bound to follow us on the trip...

there's a few more who've expressed an interest so perhaps it would be an idea to take a register of potential riders? just so I know...

I think the lovely Kate may also be coming along

I should really do an update to this, it's been ages and I've been a durty lazy slag.

since my physio I ache allover all the time, and we've not really moved forward. Our trusty mechanic has found himself without a job, house and wife:blast

so he's been busy... I've thrown half the stuff in the set store away on the last few days to make more space and now we can get the bikes in and move around...

so we'll be back on this... later during this week....:thumb2

Kate is keen to come along for a laugh, she's trying to get time off and that's about it...

gave my C90's away today...:blast

will see how it goes after the court hearing.

5th April is my first case management meeting/ hearing about my PI case, the bikes are not ready. I'm not ready, got stress at work, my mate is still on the naughty list so he can't get the time. My other mate has lost his job yesterday... he was coming along but that's off... his wife is giving his shit about everything...

I've got a wiring diagram to draw up it's so big and messy nobody knows for sure if all the kit will be there...

so I'm having to move the trip back, till something moves one way or the other.....:thumb2
