Running in new GSA

Don't use full throttle, but let the bike rev to about 4k. Don't let is labour, and vary the revs/speed. Too many people keep at a constant speed when running in, which keeps at a constant heat etc. I've used this method on numerous bikes & they've all been fine.

of course you might follow the bmw recomendadtions in the riders handbook and know exactly what to do.

Not again.:blast Do a search, it's been mentioned here hundreds of times.:thumb

Best advice is read the manual. Don't over rev, don't let it labour and keep going up and down the rev range i.e no long steady motorway speeds.

I have to say I was pretty hard with mine on when I ran it in and did not molly coddle it. 70k later, it's sweet as a nut and it uses no oil:thumb

One piece of advice I was given was change the oil at between 200 and 300 miles which gets rid of all the initial crap in the motor.

Good advice

Cheers, Good advice, much the same advice from my last dealer (Suzuki) need to avoid Motorways for a few miles :clap
