Hi all,
I picked up my new GS 3 weeks ago, due to various lame excuses (been out of the country etc, etc) I have only get rid of 200 ish of the <4000 rpm run in miles. I have kept a careful eye on the oil, which you guessed it, has gone down (they allways......i know).
The dealer (CW) told me that the 'running in oil is thiner than standard, the engineer will furnish you with a bottle to top it up during the running in period'.
The engineer said that they 'didn't have any running in oil (maybe it is 2 exepensive
), but this stuff will do' and he hands me some 10W40 (if I could see clearly in the gloom this morning.
question is: Does any one know if this 'thicker' oil is gonna have an adverse effect on the engine.
do we worry too much?
Bike is still great tho
