Running in service

Anyone know whats included in the running in service? Is it just engine oil and filter, or does the FD oil get changed too?

It's not officially due on the service schedule in my owners handbook but Cotswold changed it on mine when I had the running in service done last year. It didn't cost much but was worth it IMO.

My final drive oil was changed at 600 mile service too.

The FD oil should be changed on the running in service.
Mine is booked in for next Thursday.

I looked already and it’s not specific. The first running in service included the FD oil. The fact that it’s not specific in the hand book is why I asked

Thanks. I have an altrider bash plate to fit and need to to wait until after the first service so that I don’t get issues with the filter oil being removal.

Just booked mine in with Cotswold and they do change the FD oil, but I agree it's not in the service schedule. FD oil does come out a bit mucky the first couple of coil changes so I'm glad it's on their to-do list.

Mine had 600 mile service at End of October last year and has a line on invoice for change oil in bevel gear, using 0.2lt at £6.66.

It’s being done free under warranty, but if they don’t change the FD oil, I will do it.

As in my riders Manual number 4 is bevel drive oil.
