Running lights

What's wrong with halogen or HID lights? The alternator can take them...
As for model, Hella ff50 are what I would chose. And you can later upgrade to HID'd in thoes if you want to ;)

I see the Hella ff50 described as "driving lights". Does mean they should only be switched on with the main beam or can you can run them as dips/daytime?

There's an ff40 which is a daytime running light.

AFAIK, the ff50's can come as fog or driving lights. Or you can convert them yourself by just changing the glass on them.

I have a set of no-names, but they are metal, solid, etc. Fogs, wired them via the hi-beam that I use during daylight. the good part is that I can mount 80w bulbs in them without melting the inside from heat. I mounted this as a test to see how it goes and I am pretty happy with them. No water gets inside and the price was very low, like 15 eur for the set :D

But I am really considering getting the ff50's this winter and put HID in them. Then I will be really happy :D

Ditch
Tank off quick connects fitted tank panel bolts loosened. Xmas project is fit new filter and fix fuel level indicator as per post on adv.
Waiting for shock to come back currently with Firefox getting rebuilt. Then and only then would I consider fitting running lights but with a fitting bracket the cost is mounting so may get shelved for now. I don't want fogs as don't ride enough at night to warrant plus I prefer the look of led. i was just looking at what else I can waste my money on!
Cheers
