running rich

R1100S 2000 model.

The bike runs rich following a fuel filter change. I've taken it to bmw who have plugged it in to their computer and said " your bike is running rich". I knew that, but they did'nt know why. £100 later the feeling of being mugged by BMW (again ) and no further forward.

Any ideas? apart from buy a Honda.

I'd start with checking the Air temp control or lambda ( you have checked the obvious first i.e. airfilter haven't you ??).

You could try a different CCP plug, but with the CCP plug change you maybe covering up a problem somewhere else so try to find if there is a problem first.
