Runs at idle in Sixth gear

Just mucking around on my 1250GSA today and noticed a “feature”. The bike ticks over at just over 1,000 rpm, but if I go along a (empty) road in top and just shut the throttle it slows down to 1,400 rpm at 26 mph and just chugs along happily. If I think pull the clutch in and stop the tick over goes back down to just over 1,000 rpm again.

1200 does it as well, anti stall electronics.

On the Off Road Skills course in Wales, they get you to have a “race” going up the gearbox to sixth gear without using the throttle at all, surprising how fast you go!

Had some fun trying this around the lanes. It even accelerates slightly up hills.
