Has anyone here gone through the process of sending thier seat over to Russells for a revamping? Who did you use for shipping the seat out there and where there any problems with regards to UK Customs when the seat was sent back?

Hi Bob,

I looked into ordering from them and after some delayed email responses from them I decided to try an alternative. Im very pleased with result and saved a packet too. I was given the impression that it was very likely I would end up paying import tax on the item. The cost for sending my donor seat out to them was in excess of £90 which is only just short for what I paid for my new seat here

Thanks for the reply. I got a very quick reply from Russells and they told me there are no issues with import tax as they are refurbishing a used item.

I took a look at your thread and your seat looks superb.Did you go down to Digger Seats in person or did you discuss your requirements and send him your donor seat?
