Me and SWMBO are doing a Baltic cruise, on a big boat, not a big bike. Does anyone have experience of the best way to get visas for Russia as we're visiting St Petersburgh and I'm sure some of our world travellers will have done it before.
Please don't bo**ock me for the none bike trip!!

Just book a hotel. The hotel will then issue you with an invitation. You need an invitation in order to get a visa.

No invitation = no visa!

There are places that will organise it all for you(I never use them)at a cost!

or go to visitrussia.co.uk I think they're in Camden download the form, take pictures, send the money and jobs a carrott.:thumb2

can be costly but if you have enought time it's about £30.00 each

that was me...:augie sorry should have looked in my favorites and not guessed it:blast

Book hotel.
Ask for invitation.
Go on to Russian consular site.
Copy form.
Complete form.
Take or post passport, form, invitation, photographs (2 I think but see consular notes), £45 (last year or £90 if it is to be issued on the day), invitation (and recorded delivery envelope if using post) to consulate - London or Edinburgh.
Receive visa.

Enjoy St. Petersburg one of the best cities I've ever been in.:clap:clap
