Out for a ride today and noticed coolant peeing all over my leg. Luckily Bahnstormer are open today. One holed radiator, looking like £400... ouch!

eek! The litre bikes have monster rads though which seem to wrap around the entire front of the bike.

Maybe it's repairable - radiators used to be, depending on the location of the hole. It would be worth speaking to a radiator shop.

I placed an order a year ago and just heard from Bahnstormer that it's arrived. Just been to look at it - bloody gorgeous!

I take delivery on the 2nd of Jan will get it delivered to the house methinks.

I should also be collecting mine on the 1st March. Same as yours, the RR Sport.
I had a good long test ride on a fully run-in demo RR on Saturday. WOW, what an outstanding motorcycle.
Its been a few years since I’ve ridden a big 4cyl sports bike (since I wrote off my ZX-10R on a track day in fact). But I have missed the sheer thrust of a screaming multi.

So after 2 hours hooning around on the S Thou, I reluctantly retuned the bike to BRM, one hour late, with a huge grin on my face. And after tales of 4th gear wheelies and nearly binning it on a muddy country road (the ABS and DTC definitely saved my bacon). I have ordered one

I’m keeping the GSA because its my work horse on which I’ve done 12k miles in 11months. But alas, and with regret, the HP2S will have to go to make room for the S Thou, before I’m too old and fat to enjoy it.


BTW..sorry to hear about the holed rad. jolly bad luck mate. I have always fitted a rad guard to my jap bikes, so i hope they make one for the S thou soon.

I love the looks and if I wasn't the wrong side of 40 with a knackered back and shoulder I'd consider one. I recently sold my R1 because I constantly thought of reasons not to go for a ride on it and took the GSA instead. I also was shit scared of losing my licence on it as well as it was too easy to ride at 100+mph. Hang on forget my opening sentence!!!

I had a test ride of the RR y'day....what a bike....it was fantastic even though I kept it in rain mode...partly because the roads were greasy...but mainly due to my ability!! I loved it but unfortunately it's not for me... If you can ride a sports bike then you can't do better for the money IMO..

I told my mate HAZZY I was now on here and was impressed by the posts, advice and friendly comments. He told me about this post and laughed as he was telling me, he said read it and enjoy!

I honestly cant believe how because some blokes have ordered new machines, (bloody good on anyone who has the money and the health to do so!!!) there are idiots that due to being either just pric*s or tramps have to complain or moan.

So what if some of us are new to BMW, i used to laugh at them but over past 3 years have enjoyed every minute on my 1200GS and cant wait to get my new GSA this month. Judging by the shit on here some blokes must have been born on a gs saddle...yawn yawn

You small minded little anker! i too now ride all year and avoid p*nis extensions like you! i have owned sports bikes that stop passsers by, to me a GS looks like a tractor, but its the riding and feeling I enjoy, I imagine you must get the same feeling from some adult web sites?
