Tyre Price Update

Just a quick update on Kearys tyre prices....

A set of Tourances fitted to your bike for €240 balanced!

Can't argue with that!

I hope this brings some :comfort to flash of the gap!

yes you can argue with that set of tourances €165 balanced and fitted anywhere in the north:clap much nearer than cork ,where it seems to cost that just to get your own tyre,s fitted,:mmmm

From memory, five years ago in Belgium I was paying 240€ for a set of Anakees fitted to my GS. SO michaels price for 2009 seems fair enough to me.

165€ odd up north, sorry it's too far:blast but amazing value

Plus and I will leave it there, the south decided to tie itself in with the Euro for good or for bad, five years ago 240€ was 150£......

There, I have explained everything, and we now understand one of the reasons that the South is FCUK'd and will be for a while to come

What are you talking about? What difference does it make if i get a quote or not. Fact is, dogfooddave was charged €160 for a set of tyres fitted, not inlcuding vat! Are you somehow trying to justify that? As for "out of date", when was it acceptable to charge that money to fit two tyres? Was it OK 3 monts ago when the post was made?
And up the north they charge under €200 for a set of tourances supplied and fitted, so even your €300 place isn't great. Don't even try and pretend we're getting good value from BMW dealers down here. They charge around double what ducati dublin charge per hour and they're considered expensive!

Well said! I think our friend moonlights as kearys tyre changer! Or used to!

Jaysus thats great value! They can subsidise it with revenue accrued from gross overcharging in the past!

have a 08 GSA..

had the usual problems, EWS, fuel pump etc..

currently dealing with them on a corrosion issue..

always found them helpful, and would go out of their way for you especially Adrian.. I would give them 9/10.. with bmw stealing the last point cause they are a load of w@nkers

as for the sales guy Mark.. dont get me started on that... what that lad is doing dealing with people I just dont know.. he has no manners or people skills AT ALL.... but now he is gone.. :)

Not a Kearys fan in general but found Mark very helpful.

I lost the Bolt and Mushroom head to keep Paniers on,I had to order them today in kearys 20 odd euro each.Andrew all alone today but in fairness he's grand to deal with

The first post in this thread dates back a long way when the place was being run independent
of Kearys car sales and as such was a totally different entity to what's there now, the place is
under completely different management with nearly 100% change in staff. I think it's unfair to
be bashing them over prices set by a Manager who's since finished with them. I also think is fairly
lousy to slag off someone who's lost their job, could be any of us. As for the staff who occasionally
look in here I'd hope they'd appreciate that there will always be tossers who will throw mud from
behind a keyboard.

Best of luck to Adrian (Service) and MichaelK (Sales).:clap

I'm off for a spin.:thumb2
