Sunday 13th..

Provided i've got my new sprockets and chain fitted (i have the chain, just waiting on sprockets), who's in for this sunday (13th)?

So far:

Puma
Bakerman ??

Think the 20th would be superb. Are both going to go ahead? Sort of confused why people would go twice ;/

It looks like both are going ahead- i'll start another thread for the 20th.

Why would people go twice? Simple. Salisbury plain is huge, and at a rough guestimate, is around 40 miles across. In this space are littered hundreds of byways.

You would really have to be shifting to ride every byway in one day, and is this is supposed to be an easy going rideout, that isn't going to happen.

Also the place changes so much. I've been riding it for around 10 years now, and still get thrown by the way the seasons affect the area.

Why else would you go twice?? cos it's fun :D

And there is loads of muddy holes.......:thumb2:blast:rob (normallyhow the plain works for me)

I really think my new F800GS is going to hate me but i cant resist the urge not to go before winter. :O Will see how things go with weather just before the 20th. Not sure how well its going to be with a restricter fitted. Less than a quarter throttle ;/

I think you might be surprised- while it will make lofting the front a little difficult, it might make things a little easier when the going gets slippery.

Yeah ill be there as long as the deal goes ahead with a BMW on here in the week. Hopefully if not latest Saturday to pick it up. Shame it gets dark so quickly now as its hard coming up after my parents finished work. Will be on standard tyres so if its raining i wont bother. Cant wait though.

Ben

Rough idea of how many are going?

Is this still on tomorrow? I'll be coming down on my lonesome as my mates can't make it.

Hi johnny,

I'm still heading out- just need to replace a bearing first.

Looks like numbers will be a little thin on the ground, which should make things a little more entertaining!

Will see you tomorrow :)

Sad to say I'm not going to be able to make the ride... My left hand carb is pissing out fuel and I don't have the time to fix it before the 20th... and of as yet... neither have I the know how! Time to start reading!
