Salisbury Plain, Sunday 10th Feb?

Anyone up for a ride around the plain tommorrow?

Hopefully i'll be on the Xchallenge, though if i haven't got that finished it will be the 1150 gs.

Nothing to fast, the 1150 is to much of a lump for a mad ride, and the Xchallenge still needs a few easy miles to run it in.

Any takers?

Not sure on time or place yet, wanted to see what the general response was like first.

I'm currently thinking of doing a loop out from winchester, across and around the top of Salisbury, and on into Stapleford, before heading north up to and over the A303 @ Yarnbury castle (crossing between the A36/A303 interchange and Winterbourne stoke), then head towards the "hidden village", and carry on north through Tilshead.

From here continue North, and pick up the Wesex ridgeway just outside Market Lavington, follow this around (must make sure i get the right track and not the MOD's tank training track here ), and drop down into Netheravon, and onto Tidworth, then head south for home.

Thats the plan at the minute, but i'm open to suggestions and don't mind heading south of Salisbury (i rekon Pepperbox hill is a sod at this time of year!), and have a look around for a few fjords to cross...

So thats the plan at present, the earliest i'll be leaving will be around 8am (it is sunday after all!).

This loop should be around 120-130 miles.

Where abouts are you coming from?

I should note that i won't be doing anything to sticky if i'm on the 1150. Not that i can't, but i can't be arsed to struggle picking it up!!
