I was browsing in the phone shop. Thinking of a iPhone 18. Looked at a z8 fold. It’s an ideal size opened up. I read quite a bit on my phone. Anyone got one? Any advice? Thanks JJH

Have been keeping an eye on this recent release from Xiaomi......
I have just nearly fallen off my couch.......it's over feckin €2k
Any foldable phone comes with a considerable price hike. And that extra cost is only really worth it if you can leverage the additional screen size effectively and often. Also, there is the extra bulk to consider - it's your phone, so it'll be with you pretty much all the time.
I too sometimes read on my phone using the Kindle app, but a dedicated Kindle is a better experience. I like to watch movies/TV shows on my tablet when travelling because the phone is just that little bit too small. Planning the next days travel on Google maps is much better on the tablet, as is photo/video editing on the fly.
For the cost of a premium foldable phone, you could have a traditional mobile phone, a Kindle and a tablet. I know its three devices as opposed to just one, but each will deliver a much better experience than a single 'do it all' device.

Well clearly if you go for the top end but you know. That's a choice to push it up
I bought it direct from honor UK. 1400 ish for the 16gb 512 model.
I was a Samsung fan until I tried this
I personally need a minimum of 512gb.....so if 1TB is available, why not have the headroom.
Because the cost is usually prohibitive.
You can also use external storage or cloud storage (either paid or a home server)

I will always own fold phones now, there is no going back.
great built quality and even now after 2 years the folding screen shows no sign of wear which was a concern when i was looking at them.
From viewing photos, reading websites/books, playing YouTube videos, browsing maps even playing puzzle games the larger screen is superb.
Only think i will say is, i still haven't found a mount for the bike, i have now removed the quad lock i had.
I recently bought an Android Auto unit which has helped, as i dont need the phone on the bars anymore.

Lucky for me it was on offer as it would have been £1400 with the camera.
