I wanted to visit the excellent Faro Santander exhibition and the less impressive Centro Botin in Santander, so I booked into the Ibis Styles on the edge of the city centre. It seems very popular with people using the ferry, possibly as it has free garage parking.

The hotel is a typical Ibis Styles, has a bar and basic meal options in the evening (burgers etc). Very good breakfast buffet. Short walk across a park to a suburb with bars and restaurants. 20 minute walk to the city centre, 30 min walk to the Centro Botin near the ferry port. Alternatively, for £1.10, catch the no 12 bus or get an Uber for a fiver and you are there in 10 mins.
