Hi,

Does anyone know if you can increase the height of the aftermarket Sargent seats? I have a standard height Sargent but my knees are bent too far, i have the bike suspension on the raised as much as possible setting but still feel its too low. So wondering if you can buy replacement seat rubbers to raise the seat slightly?

I have seat on highest setting also.

Thanks
Mark

I had the same issue with mine, unfortunatley never found a cure so reverted back to the standard seat.
Will watch this thread with interest.

Likewise.
The only way to solve the Issue is to have it Reworked, but then you may as well Rework the OEM Seat and sell the Sargent.

Cheers guys, I’m heading to states with work next week so might see what I can find seat wise over there.

I had a khado one (think that’s it’s name) it wasn’t as comfy as the Sargent but had me sit higher with better angle on knees.

I had Sargent seats on previous two GS’s and don’t recall this issue. I had started to think I had bought a low model but I’m pretty sure it’s standard height one.

I had a Sargent Seat on my first 1200GSA and it was great.
I bought one for my second GSA but it was too low and, as a result very uncomfortable.
I ended up with a Corbin.
For the Bike I have now (2010 1200GSA TC), I have both a Corbin and (what I believe to be) a Tony Archer Rework.
The Corbin is great but it's too wide at the front and leaves me on the Balls of my Feet, which is no mean feat with 34" Inside Legs.
I might get a Nose Job done on it if I don't sell it in the meantime, but the TA is really comfortable anyway.

I had a standard Sargent seat on my Hexhead which was definitely a little bit lower than the BMW seat...... I was quite happy as my inside leg is only 29".

I am trading the bike in tomorrow so my standard Hexhead Sargent seats will be up for sale at some point soon.

What about lowering the footrests?
Just a thought.
I have a standard Sargent seat on my GSA, I find it's fine for me and I'm 6'4". I do have Wilbur's front and back which might have increased the seat height just a little. I have my seat High at the front and low at the back which I find more comfortable.

I use lowered footrests, a Sargent seat in the high position at the front with an Airhawk on top of it.
Takes a while to come up with a solution that suits the individual. :)
