Sargent Seats now available.

Wunderlich seats are available for the 1300gs now. I received mine last week ,high version and heated. Firmer than standard BMW one & flatter, they don't dip down towards the tank. Makes them feel slightly higher than the standard BMW one though when you stop as the front part near the tank is higher. £455 for the heated version from Motorworks.
I find it more comfortable for longer rides.

Quick follow up on this for anyone interested - I got the Sargent seat recently and took it out for a test yesterday.
A quick 150 mile loop so I've not been on it for that many hours yet but it seems 100% better than the stock seat - (in my opinion).
It feels oddly flat and almost bench like when you first get on but just works.
On the stock seat I was getting a slightly numb arse and some hip ache after 50/60 miles - causing a lot of fidgeting and need to stretch my legs.
This has now completely disappeared.
In short, it doesn't feel like it will be comfortable - but it is. (y)
That matches my thoughts of Sargent seats on both a Hexhead and a 1250. They feel wide, flat and very firm which seems at odds with comfort where you expect cushioning.

They do however provide anatomical support over a broader area, relieving the coccyx of pressure and unloading the base of the spine. Coupled with a thin sheepskin or a cool cover, they are just about perfect in my experience.

For me the important point is that the seat matches my arse very nicely. I agree that Corbins can be better, I have had three, but they are not available for the 1300. The seat material on the Sargent is different to those I have had in the past and looks more robust. I agree that the staples rust but that is purely cosmetic and out of sight. Spending £20+K on a motorcycle and being uncomfortable is not something I can live with. It is ridiculous that BMW still, after all these years, cannot make a decent seat (or do they have shares in Sargent?).
Still loving the seat? just narrowing my options

I've had a few Sargents in the past but switched to Seat Concepts. I've probably bought a dozen or more seat kits from them and have been very pleased. They do away with the downward slope to the tank and the bucket is a little wider, it's also flat not crowned like many. They now offer complete seats already made up for many bikes like the GS as well as foam and cover kits you put on the stock seat pan yourself. Buying the complete seat for not much more is the way to go since it can be sold separately when you sell or trade your bike.

There is no high seat option though unless you have a 1 piece rally style seat. Don't think my other half would thank me.

She probably would because the passenger portion is wider, flat, and about the same height as stock. The front is wider and 2" taller and when riding solo you can slide fore and aft rather than being locked in.
