There is no way your elbow would touch down before a GS cylinder head. :D

Thanks Abel top day in top company it was great to meet you all.

The Plains with Abel today!

yep, another brilliant day in good company! Thanks to Adam & everyone else for making a shitty weather day appear bright - especially Jon the Scot & Clive for top tips to "un flood" a 1200 - i'd hae been deeply  without the tips, not forgettin of course the Africa Twin rider (Jeff) who thankfully still gets a plug spanner in a Honda tool kit that fits a GS. Any doubting Thomas' that dont believe a Bonny did this route on road tyres............here u go:thumb2:thumb2

Excellent day out. A real mixed bag of abilities which just added to the camaraderie & team work.
Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures with a camera but those of you who saw me weilding a cam corder should know that I have some choice footage of the day.
I'll try and get it sorted as soon as possible but it won't be for a few day as I'll have to get it sorted at work in my 'own time'.;)
Good to catch up with Si, Clive, and a few faces I hadn't seen in a while and good to have a laugh with some new.

As for Rice Burner on the Rockster, Man on the trumpet and fella on the TDM, on road tyres, you've got balls. The perseverence, especially through the field of mud-n-doom, was top notch. Hats off to ya.

Indeed, hats off as well to all the novice riders who where doing this kinda stuff for the first time.
I hope you've caught the bug. Road riders just don't know what they're missing.

Thanks to my 1150 Adventure carrying the tow rope of luck, the beast of burden didn't miss a beat, but for those who usually take the piss when they see me with a tow rope strapped to the back, It came in useful for trumpet haulage.

I'll just wind this up by saying a big thanks to Adam for getting this day sorted.
Nice one mate, when is the next?:smoke:

Footage coming asap.

Good day out. Bet some of the 'virgins' on the big stuff ache today...:)

I lost count of how many bikes I picked up but it was all for the cause as they say.

The lad on the RockStar and the other guy on the Trumpet looked about dead after the mud lane..;)

Good to see that the guy with the twisted ankle made it some, sorry it curtailed your day.

I'm happy to act as the sweeper for future rides if Abel sorts them, just let me know.

It may have been short but bloody hell was it memorable:eek::clap
It put a whole new meaning on driving without due care and attention.:augie

Been out today on the Fish & chip run legs ok only hurts when I twist it.

Thanks for the pain killers helped me get home with out to much discomfort:beerjug:

Cant wait to see the faces on the blokes at work when they ask what I got up too on the W/E
Yeh you know that £10,000 bike I got a few weeks ago well I done my bloody best to smash it up.
Some how they wont understand:confused:
Cracking:thumb2

cheers ian

Good to know you got home safe "billy". :)

Some more photos here - including proof we were near "the Ring". ;)

Was a good day out, but by gum am I suffering today! Aching like I've not ached in quite a while.

Many thanks to Adam and especially Spikehammer for helping me out of the field of doom! Next time i'll bring something slightly more appropriate! :D

:oonyack (herriwullie is a Scots dialect word) (apparently)

Thanks for the photos folks, and a big thanks to Abel and all of the proper dirt monkeys for ferrying and messaging.... a great day of insanity and dirt. I am that TDM riding leather clad fool, and I'm glad to say it's for sale for a mere £9,000. A bargain for a 15 year old bike with Michelin Macadam road tyres and one mangled hand guard :augie

I'll keep an eye open for updates. My boots are still drying out, and even 2 sets of carrier bags couldn't keep the rain out of my dry socks on the way home.....

EDiT: Hello RB, what time did everyone finish up in the end? I think you had a particularly appropriate mount with the Rockster- I've ended up with a massive appreciation for road orientated bikes, and a load of admiration for the Teedium's ability. Where do we find some knobblies?

Thanks for everyone in making this an absolutely memorable day out.
The help and advice was great .... especially the support and patience from the back marker :thumb2 , couldn't have done it without you.
Loads of new friends and great camaraderie, its what its all about ......
Still cant get the silly grin off my face.

Loads of great pics ... thanks, and looking forward to Motorheads vid.

Looking forward to the next ride out with newbies on BMW Tractors. :bounce1

Just slapped this together really quick just to get something up before I do a longer piece.
There is quite a bit more footage but thought I'd just get a few clips up as a taster. Music is shyte, so forgive me for just slapping it on, but as I said, just a quick something.
A better and longer version will be a few days.
