If anyone is around a fancies a local ride leaving from the BMW dealership in Dalkeith down to the Holy Island (http://www.lindisfarne.org.uk/) on a selection of the great back roads in the Borders (hopefully the weather will be ok).....will also have to co-ordinate with the tides I suppose....:blast ...either way a blast out on the bike if anyone is interested (I've never been to Lindisfarne before...:angel) and it will be the first weekend I get for a couple of weeks yet....:comfort

i took a run down yesterday,a 1 a bit boring unless you want to stretch the legs of your bike.holy island itself is ok if you remember to read the tide tables.

yeah I was more thinking about the ride than the destination, you can get lost in the Borders for hours....:thumb

Long way to go for me to meet at a dealers, rather meet at a nice scenic place with coffee and a bite to eat,

or are you touting MCE:augie

:D

I quite fancy a run tae Lindisfarne.

Anyone who wants to join me can meet me on the corner aroond fae MC.

I'll no' be goin' if there's snaw on the ground or fog on the Tyne.

I like the idea of a blast to the Holy Isle. My GSA doesn't arrive till April so it might be my last blast on the Pan, apart from the dice with death to work.

:blast
Thanks to all you kind chaps who wisely and graciously pointed out my mistake.
When I saw this this morning, I did think that the bold Garfield was awfully hasteful in planning for tomorrow.:augie

I quite fancy a run doon to the Holy Island. It's a run I was always gonnie de wi' Forry and never got roond to it. But I might be at the Man United game that day if I can get a ticket.

Is this a MC run or your run, Garfield? If it's your ane run then I might ha'e to call off due to

1. Fixing my windscreen or
2. Picking my Mum up or
3. Collecting tyres for my bike or
4. Babysitting my sister's bairn (well, he's 36 but nevermind..)

:D :D

Nah, if I can, I'll hae a run to this...:thumb

Holy Island....!

I wouldn't mind a wee run out to Lindesfarne on my HP2..........! (Oh, and I'm the ugly one with the beard in Forry's pictures!):D

HP2 is out of the closet, errr shed!

Farmer Palmer take the HP2 oot

You'll cry off we an excuse Chris :D

I rode the HP2 up to Motorrad East this afternoon for its anual service and end of warranty check over(clunking forks) and the road was dry, no salt.....!:thumb2
