good stuff

thanks for that Rob, Friday and Sat camping sounds good- with the following
disclaimer!!
IF IT GETS TOO COLD,TOO WET, TOO WINDY, TOO UNCOMFORABLE, IF MY POP UP TENT DOES NOT POP UP, IF MY SLEEPING BAG ZIP GETS STUCK, IF MY MULTI-FUEL STOVE RUNS OUT OF MULTI-FUEL, IF MY COLLAPSABLE CHAIR COLLAPSES, OR FOR THAT MATTER WILL NOT, AND IF I RUN OUT OF LOO ROLL I RESPECTFULLY RESERVE THE RIGHT TO FIND A NICE LITTLE B & B.

I love camping me:bounce1

EDIT : Please note Rob has changed the date of this trip from the original date of the 19th of Jan to the NEW date of the 9th of February - Rushy

Planning on meeting with a another rider on Sat 19th for a bimble around the Lake District. Just a steady chilled out ride to take in the scenery, stop for lunch etc.

My plan is to camp Nr Langdale at the NT site on Friday and Sat night.

So if anyone is daft enough to do the same your welcome but I'm expecting to be alone on this one:D

My friend will be meeting me around 10.30 at the campsite for the ride on Sat.

So short of having a bad cold or there being black ice/heavy snow thats the basic plan.

No route so far.

I was up that way on Boxing Day for a bit of a ride round. It's a pity you're going that weekend as I'll be camping at the Dragon Rally or I'd have joined you. Make sure you carry on past the campsite and enjoy the Wrynose and Hardknott passes :thumb

Cheers
Dave

300-350 metres away depending on where your tent is...:D:D

finding the toilet at 4 am is going to be fun:)

Last time I was in the Langdales coming back from the pub my mate fell down a bank, we didn't notice so he slept there :blast - no street lights, take a torch to the pub !!:D:D:D

I've got a pass

Thanks Dave, HardKnott pass to be added:thumb

You would have been very welcome:beer:

Hope you lot have a good `un :beerjug: If it had been the week before I could`ve had a camp out with you but I suppose working 3 weekends out of 5 I`ll miss stuff :(

Do a swap - you know you want to:D

as with most things I fancy it, will check nearer date to see if 9th still on

Depending on whether we're snowed in or not we may turn up for this to....Langdale is a good site...one thing tho'.....the Old Dungeon Ghyll is known as the pub ....but the Stickle Barn Tavern is far nicer....loads of room and a log fire too !( Slightly biased as they are very dog friendly and our pups grab prime position in front of the fire ! ) And of course excellent roads around tho' could be a lttle icy on top!

Would you be happy to pick out a few lanes for those who fancy it? You'd have to drink at least one pint from each taker though - to see if you wobble as well as they do:beer:

All I'd need then is Gser with knowledge of the lakes to lead a road route and we'd have something for everybody:D

i'd be more than happy to give someone else ago in front even though i know the lakes :thumb been a while since i sat in the middle or back of a group .So i could give the leader an idea of what are the best roads to try out. SO who's got a GPS and knows how to work it...TWO QUESTION THERE:D:D:D because i've seen a few who buy them for extra weight/toy on the bikes at the front..:D:D:D:potkettle
