Been trying to decide between the Zumo 350lm or the Montana.

I mainly need one for road navigations but would also like something I could use whilst off roading. Have I missed any other option that will do both?

Thanks

There is a new one - Garmin Monterra due out very shortly. Based on Android and will let you use a variety of apps with it.

I need a new unit and like you am unsure what to get. As I am not in a hurry, I will probably wait to see what people think of the Monterra before deciding.

If you had a 2610 etc you'll like the Monterra as there is lots of options for setting it up.

It isn't primarily a motorbike GPS, eg no traffic no in built MP3 player, no easy way to see what an unplanned route looks like, may even be more expensive once CN maps are added, but I'll not be swapping mine for a 350.

I used my old garmin nuvi . Plugged in a set of ear phones from my iPad and hey presto a cheap and accurate gps. Did 2,700 km and never took a wrong turn.

Depends on your budget...I bought a used 765 Nuvi for 35 pounds off e bay, ram mounts for 30 quid, a waterproof case for £20 and a power supply for £16. Its as good as a 660..just not as nice looking! I listen to my music through my autocomm (on the garmin), i get voice instructions and if i spend another £45 I can blue tooth it to my phone. Job done. I am doing a 2000 mile (?)P trip through EU in 2 weeks. I'll let you know how \i t works out...BTW.. Basecamp takes a lot of getting used to! I
