Used to use my Nav 2 in the car but it died recently and the mapping was way out of date. The time to replace it has arrived, I want a Garmin as that's what I'm familiar with but am confused by the multitude of offerings.

I want full UK & European mapping with full postcode recognition and a built in speaker as standard, along with a reasonable sized (touch) screen.

Not sure about Bluetooth - my phone's Bluetooth enabled but I rarely have it activated and am unsure of the benefits?

Built in MP3 player would be good but not crucial in any way.

Any other features I should be looking for?

Any units that are recommended? Looking to spend £150 max.

Cheers

Steve

I've got a nuvi 250 - excellent satnav and also used it on the bike without any problems.
Full UK and Europe mapping :thumb2

Costs not much more than £85 :thumb2

Thanks but looking to buy a Garmin Oregon 450T specifically for the bike, it takes topo maps & comes with the GB Discoverer mapping for trailriding.

Proff's recommended the Nuvi 265W via PM, favourite so far.

For car use buy a Tomtom as they have more logical routing and are more user friendly :thumb2

In fact, the same could be said of the TT Rider 2 vs. the various Garmin offerings...and yes I've owned both :augie
