It has been snowing quite well down here in the Borders, well Hawick certainly, since about 07.30, and there seems to be no let up looking at the sky. None of the original snow has really gone, so we are building in layers. Global warming! :topicI think we are closer to another ice age. But lets not get started on that - lets keep Saturday as the topic.:beerjug:

Good thing about all this snow, the dog just loves the snow - goes absolutely bonkers.:pullface

There's hardcore then there's just the plain daft

This en-route to Applecross Jonny?

I did eventually get home from the rig. Based on todays temperature and the icey roads I am officially crying off:comfort I recon a trip over Glenshee would be a silly thing in this weather so I am going to take the dog out in the 4x4 and get my camera oot:thumb If anyone does head out take care:beerjug:

AndyT:cool:

Just back from Embrie and the main roads seemed fine.

Does anyone know whit the roads are like north of Perth ie the A9 to Pitlochry? I'm still up for lunch there (Moulin Hotel) if there's a few more fancy it. I think Glen Lyon might be a bit optimistic gi'en the recent weather. I'll make a final decision when I see whit the weather's like tomorrow, unless everyone reckons waitin' on better weather is the best option in which case we can cancel this noo and save pissin' aboot checkin' on here for weather bulletins and seein' who's goin' and who's no' tomorrow mornin.

Whit aboot the wans that want tae go, go and the wans that dinnae, dinnae.

Pit a time tae meet and if onie wan turns up well an guid efter aw it's just a ride on yir bike and some lunch.

Pit me doon for no turning up at aroon 12:48:thumb2

Guid idea but I'd rather find oot if I'm gonnie be the only ane there afore I leave. That way, I'll stay at hame. :thumb

Well minded aboot a time though. :augie Lunch at 12.30 :beerjug:

i'm coming oot

no matter what i'm going oot the morn.
i plan on leaving dunbar at 10,head up what ever that road is.if i can get to the hotel at 1230,i'll see some of you there.
if the weather gets bad i'll turn around.
i just want to get oot
anybody else heading up fi this neck of the woods?
:rob

If i can get the bike out the drive i'll be there see how it goes tomorrow.

As far as I am aware the A9 north of Perth up to Pitlochry is clear as is the short hop up to the Moulin Inn. Glen Lyon is suspect which could be made worse if it freezes over night as i doubt that they will grit this road.

its a fair hike up fae girvan but im gettin fed up lookin at the telly n stuff, wi a bit o luck i will see whoever turns up :beerjug:

Thought about coming, but there's two miles of untreated forestry track between me and tarmac. Since I almost put my Discovery through the fence on the track two days ago, I wouldn't trust myself to stay on the bike. Or upright.:D
