Thought about coming, but there's two miles of untreated forestry track between me and tarmac. Since I almost put my Discovery through the fence on the track two days ago, I wouldn't trust myself to stay on the bike. Or upright.:D

...... .......

I'm gonna head soon but I'll be taking the car, I have a load of new baby presents to deliver to my sister on the way home and I need to pick my mum up in deepest darkest Fife.....:P

Ok, not meeting you at Moulin.:(
Either the battery has gone or else the starter motor, and I think its the latter. There seems to be enough power to turn the starter motor, but it then just gives out and I get a continued clicking sound. Bother!

Rev. Same kind of thing happened to me a few years ago. Think it will be the battery rather than the starter motor. Not quite enough juice left in the battery to fully fire things up especailly if the bike has not been ridden for a few weeks. Charge the battery and see how it goes, although ultimately I ended up fitting a Hawker Odyssey as the original battery was 4yrs+.

I'm trying to work this one out....are we crying this one off now.....because I could be making a subtle change in my plans and going to pick some knobbly tyres up from Motorrad today.....:driving

I think if you charge your battery it will burst into life:thumb When I came back from Offshore yesterday 2 of the cars I regularly use refused to start due to weak batteries as a result of the low temps of late:(

Just hame. Guid day oot if a poor turn oot. The roads were OK and the lunch and distillery tour were even better.

Me and Andi Fox arrived really early at Moulin so we headed up to the Edradour Distillery for a coffee. It's the wee'est distillery in Scotland but you get a guid welcome. £2.50 for a mug of coffee and you get to keep the mug :D A guid deal if you ask me. The coffee bar is really smart and you can buy a nip o' whisky tae.

The wifie a'hent the bar was German and she kindly allowed me to stand in front o' the drinks gantry for a photie. Clearly, she hadnae heard how clumsy (and thirsty) I am...

Twa mugs o' coffee later (and twa mugs in the tank bag for Frau Ronno's Valentine's Day prezzie), we headed doon tae Moulin to meet Boatman and It Wisnae Me. I hadnae seen Peter (It Wisnae Me) for 30 years and he hasnae changed a bit...(he looked like Paw Broon when he was 19 :D)

A really crackin bar luch was had and then we had a wee trundle back up to the distillery for a free tour. The tour guide's patter was pish but it was a' part o ' the craic.

Peter and Simon (Boatman) baith bought whisky at the shop. Neither bought these though

It was a bit cauld the day but really enjoyable and it was guid to meet up wi Boatman and It Wisnae Me (and Foxy :thumb)
