Saturday 7th March - rideout from Boxhill

If you boys are heading over to Whiteways/Bury Hill, what sort of time do you reckon on being in the vicinity of the carpark? I've got other things on tomorrow morning or I'd get over to Box Hill to join you.

Another Southern group rideout I gotta miss, it's my son's 10th Birthday tomorrow so no way I could attend. Enjoy yourselves.

Unfortunately my bike won't be ready until 2 pm so I won't be able to join you. :comfort Hope you have a good ride.

You're welcome!

Greg

Cheers Greg! :bow

Here's a summary of the rideout:

Publudio
LBL
Charlie971 + wife
JoeC (maybe)
Theop + 1 (lunch?)
Jonboy
Strider
Indecisive (maybe)
Oldrascal (maybe at Bury Hill)
Banjadex (maybe)
Nico

Please see attached the itinerary in Google Earth as suggested by Banjadex. Feel free to change it as you probably know the local roads much better than I do.

I guess we'll be leaving Box Hill around 10:30 so we should be at Bury Hill around 12 noon max.

If you have any suggestions for Brighton we could then meet up with Theop once we are there.

On the way back to London I would need to stop by at SLM in Catheram. They shut at 5pm so there should be enough time. Please feel free to join if you like.

My number is 0776 6816 488.

See you tomorrow at Ryka's / Box Hill at 10am!!!

Hoping to see you...

Sorry for the delay, but wasn't sure if I could make it.

Looks like I (probably) can, so am posting a Mapsource route.

Which no doubt you'll pick up after we all get home...

Oh well.

Probably have to leave you guys at Whiteways, but from there through to Brighton is straightforward, or you can peel northwards and back to Sarf Lunnon.

Cheers!

P.S. On a white/blue 1150GSA

What a great day...! Glad I made the effort to meet up fellow 'tossers'.
Really good route from Box Hill down some narrow twisty country lanes to Bury Hill, where after quick coffee more 'back' roads to Brighton for Fish and Chips. Encountered some 'wild Westie terriers' roamin free in the road, almost got one of 'em (not intentionally.......), and the Weather held for us too. Good to put faces to names. Hope to see you boys soon for another mini south east adventure.......

What a great ride! It was good to meet you guys!

Shall we do another one tomorrow??? he he :D

Thanks to Banjadex for suggesting the itinerary, we found some very nice twisties and the weather was fine as well!

Thanks to Jonboy for the suggesting the fish & chips place :thumb2

My exhaust ...

Can't remember who it was on the other blue/white 1150 who liked the sound of my exhaust (Remus with Y) ... click on the links in my signature for some more rumblings.

Whilst at Bury Hill saw two liveried 'fire service' bikes, with local 'bike safe' cop...... i thought the bikes looked awesome, but there again I'm easily pleased....:)

Good to meet you guys today, sorry i couldnt do the full route but will do next time, thanks to Banjaxed for leading the troups through the back lanes.

C ya next time

I would have popped down, but I had to wait for a guy to come and view my Duke.
Unfortunately he wants it :tears
means I can hatch a new plan, work permitting I am usually up for a run to box.

Good fun!

What an excellent bunch of tossers!

Good to meet up and talk bollix (as usual). Sorry I had to scoot early, but the garden shredder was sending me suggestive texts...:(

Anyway, for some reason Betty decided to take us down a few roads I had NOT planned (!), but she's clearly much smarter than yours truly, 'cos her route was better.

As a memento, I've converted the track into a route (attached).

Better luck with the dogs next time. And I mean the Westies, not the Paris Hilton wannabes that were walking them...

Cheers guys!
