a young Man just looking down into the quarry below.. good job now one slipped toooo much coming up this little hill :o about a 50 foot drop

Sadly my phone was on the wrong setting, as the pics of "someone" stuck up to his seat in a puddle, and "someone else" stuck in a bog didn't come out well!
Bloody good day, well led Terry, or should that be "Pooh Bear" :D

POOH BEAR :D :D :D :D

Hi Pooh Bear - forget Teapot

Is that all after all those oppurtunities.

That 50 foot drop was abit disconcerting. (that means scarry!)

Great day Terry, do one again.
Does TIMPO think that was a ROW?

Old guy on the Yam. The bike that started on a kicker where as the KTM would not do either.
I will remember Pant Glas with new memories now Mr Bear :thumb

it's a BOAT
thats the only time my bikes played up since i've had it :D the was once it would not start due to the numbty who ownes it( ie me) forgot to switch fuel on.. I think it played up due to me not putting spark plug in correct or something like that :o :o :o

your should be able to start it on the kicker first time with all the pratice you had saturday on that slippy hill :D :D :D

POO Bear :thumb

Terry in 'bike won't start' incident?

Should I begin now Terry or is it just too easy a target...... :D

Byway (not) Open to All Traffic.

Indeed, this route is a Byway Open to All Traffic (BOAT)
The section at Pen y Graig, up past the cottage and alongside the Cliff is a great challenge and, as you no doubt found out, closed at the top to through traffic.
I contacted Wrexham CC about this obstruction and they replied saying the route was deemed unsafe as a result of an illegal quarry that had caused the lane to fall in, hence the 50 foot drop. Therefore the fencing at the top was to prevent the unknowing from crossing the field and then plummerting into the quarry.
I believe this route could be re-openned and with some signage made safer.
North Wales TRF have contacted Wrexham CC recently over the same issue, but I don't know of any out-come as yet.
Why not contact the ROW Dept of WCC and lodge an enquiry? The more enquiries they have may get some action.
Timpo.

It was a nice opening lane, the drop tended to focus the mind ever so slightly! Having watched the other three, I tried to get a bit more momentum and was fine till my left handguard clipped a post, thus turning me towards said drop. Needless to say I backed off and had to be pulled up the rest of the way.

i only forgot to swtich fuel on once,, :D :D

but the other times it did start after a kick, rather than the button...
if my bike does not start after the button first time i consider it a issue :D :D

when it does not start after hours of playing with the bugger i'd sell it :D :D
so how bikes you sold Simon :D :D :D :thumb

Which bike didn't start for hours?
The TM started, admitedly not by me but by mot.
The Cannondale that didn't starts not mine, it's Andrews, my C'Dale runs fine.

how about the canndale the year before we needed IBM to come over and sort it out :D
The TM just packed in :D :D :D hence why you road the chippeddale (andrews bike):D :D
but your in safe hands now your have got a BMW, then again if you listen to some people these bikes are a load of shit :D but me thinks not
but alass it could happen to be on my older bike one day soon :o :o

The C'Dale uses a laptop to reset it, just like leaving a fuel tap off... :D
The TM was running, and still is, I rode Andy's bike cos there was a hairline fracture in the starter motor case of the TM, if you remember correctly...

oh....and I've already broken the BM...off road in Switzerland.... :thumb :D

the was that many bikes broke could not remember the detail, the the starter case break due to over use :D :D so strange on a newis bike
no need for a laptop to switch fuel on just a rider who remeber his forgot to switch it off when it was up side down on a step lane :o :o :mmmm

what happen to the Bm . did you come off?... :( :( :nenau
i need longer legs to take mind of road or even over a water crossing :D :D
one thing for sure i'll not be doing anything major off road on it... but can not wait until i hit the ALPs on it.. ROADS and a few dirt tracks
but the is a few of us going around North Europe next year, can not wait for that either.. going around the same time your taking the supermoto lot, POOR you :D :D

I've not really broken it, just took it off raod in Switzerland and dented the front rim a bit...you seen the price of a rim!!!....don't even think about the price of a new wheel...

Brokenlegs is gonna be getting it to fix soon.

oh dear.. then again if we go off road on the normal bikes it costs one way or another .. i should know:D :D :D

so when we going to get togeher for a ride on the gs simon? i do ride slow on my one because it's so relaxing on one;)

Snapped chain!!(need i say more??):thumb :thumb

Seriously,mista exc's bike has served him well.:beerjug:

I am putting new chain and sprockets on over the hol period and will be using the rivet link.:thumb

i do think it's the best way togo, but a little harder for me from april until october time because supermoto wheeels go on the bike around 4-5 times , so swing arm needs to come off to change around( well it does not take that long) ..
