I've just discovered www.viamichelin.com and that you can save hotel GPS locations to Tom Tom. I've connected up the Tom Tom to my computer but I don't know how to save it to the device.

Could anyone help please. It would be very useful for a trip to France I am planning

If you have the OV2 file (+ bmp file) you just need to copy them , using windows explorer, to the right map folder on your TomTom

One of the great things about this site is that it offers a "most economic" option, not just shortest or quickest. plus all options show a cost which includes road tolls. On European trips with toll roads this can make a big difference.

As an example I used it for London - Garmisch and the quickest option had a high toll road cost in France. The shortest option was really slow but the most economic was only about half an hour longer than the quickest but a lot cheaper and used major roads. As it was swapping French toll roads with nasty motorbike police for German Autobahns with no speed limits the half hour longer was meaningless anyway!!
