So a birthday for a certain missus is fast approaching. Her GS1200 was stolen earlier this year. Along with the bike they took the intercom system we used which was wired in under the seat. The GPS was also attached. She has kicked herself enough over leaving the GPS on the bike so we won't go there.
She got a GS1200 Triple Black about 3 months ago. We've moved house which has taken up a lot of time so she just hasn't gotten around to replacing either the intercom or the GPS. A new GPS is a bit boring for a present especially when I know she'll just go and buy one herself and there's no way to "treat" yourself really regarding quality. There's much of a muchness.
So, intercom as a present it will be. It's unlikely she would splash out one so that's where i come in.
The Scala G9 looks ideal. I hate the idea of her fiddling with the buttons on the side of the G4 when she's riding so the voice command for music and calls is the big attraction for the G9.
However, she has a Scuberth flippy lid helmet. Does anyone know if they fit a Schuberth well? I found a few confirmations that the Scala works well with a Nolan but can't find anyone agreeing the same for the Schuberth. She's had her helmet for 3 years now and has mentioned she wants to replace it to be on the safe side so it wouldn't be the end of the world if it's not compatible with her current helmet. However, I'd rather avoid giving her a present she can't use immediately and basicaly demands she spends money on a new helmet that's not really essential now.
