Scala Rider Q2 Poor sound.....Help please !!

Hi All,

I have a problem

I have the Scala Q2 kit fitted in my Shoei Neotec and have it paired with my Zumo 660 and Iphone 4.

Everything works well .. satnav audio directions, telephone calls etc

however,

for music I have a micro sim fitted to the Zumo but the sound quality and volume to the Scala is terrible !!!!

The sound quality is very faint and tinny (like listening to music on your iphone speaker)

but the biggest problem is its so quiet !! (at any more than 50mph I can barely hear it .)

I have 660 volume to 100%, Scala helmet module to full !!

Any idea's

I was hoping for sound and volume similar to my i pod ear phones ??

Am I doing something wrong or just expecting too much

That's why I upgraded from a Q2 to a G9 which has more volume than is needed. The best you'll get for music with the Q2 is using the cable connection - which rather defeats the reason for having bluetooth. The Q2 has dual mono whereas the G9 is proper stereo A2DP stereo and is much better. Make sure you have the speakers as close to your ears as you can get which will help.

I have the G9 in a MultiTec. Still pretty quiet with plugs in. I'm going AutoCom when I can justify it.

So a Scala G9 would be better and a little louder

However which model of Autocom would you recommend to achieve better performance than the G9 ?

Why not have the speaker mod done by Ultimate and plug in your own ear buds........No volume issues then and way cheaper than a G9............

have you tried connecting it to the computer and configuring it? and setting the agc to high?

Mate had a G9 and turned up it was not very loud, set the agc to high and no more problems.
