Evening all, having overcome my Luddite tendencies and retired the Autocom I'm now struggling to get to grips with this Bluetooth malarkey. I've got a Scala Q3 multi set, primarily to use as rider to passenger intercom. Both sets are paired up no problem and work very well as said intercom. If I pair my unit with me old Zumo 550 per the Scala user guide I can hear the satnav OK but loose comms with the Mrs. If I fiddle with the intercom button (presumably toggling channels) I can get the bride back but can no longer hear the Zumo.

How do I set it up so I can talk to the pillion but hear the Zumo over the top as per the Autocom set up. Ideally I'd like both of us to be able to hear the satnav without manually toggling channels like a demented thing! The intercom is paired by default to channel A. Zumo paired to Bluetooth channel 1 per instructions. I did try pairing the Zumo to channel A too but it would not connect.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorted now! Just in case anyone else has this issue it would seem there is a slight error in the user guide. Per the guide the procedure is:

1, Make sure Bluetooth is enable on your GPS
2, Make sure the Scala rider is in standby
3, To pair Bluetooth channel 1 - press + for at least 5 seconds until RED and BLUE LEDs begin rapidly alternating.

"To pair a GPS when LEDs begin rapidly alternating, tap +"

etc. etc.

And there was the problem, a single tap of the + button wasn't enough. I cleared all pairings and then re-paired the two Scalas; I then followed the GPS pairing procedure but instead of a "tap" on the + when the LEDs were alternating I kept it pressed until I heard a beep in the headset.

After that all was well, it defaulted to the Zumo whenever it picked up an audio output either directions, music or a touch of the screen and then after a couple of seconds (most of the time) it automatically switched back to intercom. Occasionally I had to tap the Scala intercom button to get back to intercom but this seemed to improve the more often it auto-switched between GPS and intercom as if it was learning??
