Just got a replacement visor to try and sort out the well documented problems with leaks and the visor detents not strong enough to hold the visor open in this case it is marginally better but the poxy thing still leaks is there any adjustment to pull the visor in tighter on the seal?other than these two faults it is a comfortable helmet but for the money i expect better

Strangely mine has never leaked but will not stay open over 50 mph.

I had a similar problem with my Caberg not staying open above pensioner speeds. Took the visor off, got my Stanley knife and strsightend the edges on the teeth - Job Done.
:)

The best helmet I ever bought was the X-lite 901, the visor system was superb never had a problem. I am on my second 901 in 90k miles and never had a problem with leaks or anything. The only problem now is that they don't make them any more. Still a few available at shops with NOS.

this is all very nice but it does not help me with this poxy leak apart from consigning the bloody thing to the loft witch would be a waste of threehundred and eighty quid:mad::tears has anyone got some advice.

Why not get in touch with the importers or better still Schuberth in Germany via E mail and explain the problem to them .

I contacted schuberth via the e-mail addy in the book explaining the problem on sunday no reply yet

Good luck with that, I received no response when I tried in early 2009. You could try going via Oxford Products if they are still the distributors...

yep same here no response i'll try oxford products ta

I must admit I bought my C3 as a result of how impressed I was with the quality of my S1 (£175 in Germay a few years ago) and the wifes Concept.
Yes it is a nice lid but build quality is not as good as on the S1 and it's not a £420 helmet.

if it is size 56/57 i'll gladly wear it for a few years before you stick it in the loft:augie

61-63 tough titty mate:comfort i phoned oxford products the other day all i got was an answer phone and they did mention a web addy which i didnt get i'll try again tomorrow

Had a Schuberth S1....great quality....changed to a C3 because you can't get comms into the S1 without some serious surgery. Can't say how disappointed I was with the lid, pinched my forehead but went with advice that it might settle down....after two weeks and 1200 miles no better. What was worse, visor wouldn't stay up much above walking pace, it leaked AND the sun visor would work it's way down into the sight line. Took it back to Infinity in Farnborough who were fantastic and swapped with no problems....very relieved and really impressed with the customer service..they have just won over a loyal customer.

Schuberth must know there are problems with this lid....if it is not on all helmets then in a way this is worse because it means their quality control is suspect....not what I expect from a premium product.

Herr Schuberth...you have just lost a customer.

The C3 visor will not seal correctly unless you use both hands on each of the tabs. Press down on both and you won't have any water penetration!

Never had a problem with leaks - just make sure the sealing surface is not distorted or twisted and it should work just fine.

I suspect user error :hide

Only problem that I have had with the helmet is that at some point the little slide that operates the top air vent fell out - I am trying to get a replacement.

Really useful... thanks... pushed on both - got the click and dry as a bone even on a day like today... :thumb2
