Relatively new...but has anyone got one??

What do you think of it??

Hopefully can let you know soon as i've ordered one and hoping it will turn up before i go to france on friday. I've tried one on and it fits my noggin better than the old schuberths.

A pal of mine has one. He said buying it was like a visit to a tailor for a made to measure suit. Apparently they swapped out bits of the inside so it fitted exactly. He loves it, but says they visor won’t stay raised up at speed.

The Neotec 2 visor will not either, whereas my Neotec 1 still does, it still feels much better engineered than my N2.

I've had mine about a month or so, and done some good miles in it.

Probably the most comfortable Helmet i've had and overall one of the quietest too. The ventilation is also the best i've also experienced - vents that actually work to either keep you cool & help keep the visor(s) demisted.

The lift up action is easy, simply and intuitive. The lock button for it is also easy to find and use with gloves on too. The visor has a smooth action and closes easily everytime. The only thing i will say is due to the smooth nature of it, at speed - if you have it half way open, it will close due to the wind pressure. It is also easily the simplest visor removal mechanism ever fitted to a helmet. and the optical quality of the visor is second to none - you can barely tell there's a visor & pinlock in front of your eyes.

The Sena headset. Its pricey - at full price of £350 i'd not get it. Paying £200 for it i'm just about content with - as its on par with their top of the range headset. And fits nicely with no external wiring visible and looks facotry fitted rather than an aftermarket add on.

After the expensive abortion of the C4 helmet with SC1A comms, I am loathe to give them another penny. I loved all my old BMW System lids made by Schuberth but my C4 is a big bag of shit. I regret not paying more for the Neotec 2 instead.

If the C5 is as good as you say, and if the comms had a 3.5mm jack socket it could be a contender though.

I'd certainly recommend going to see one, try it on and see what you think vs your current C4. MotoLegends has plenty in, and all the associated pads to help it fit properly.

Unfortunately the comms unit does not have a 3.5mm jack, but you could certainly fit a different make/model of headset to the helmet.

I have a C5 and I’ve modified it by unplugging the speakers and connecting one of these

https://www.sena.com/eu-en/product/10r-earbud-adapter-split-cable

Then added a 30cm 3.5mm stereo extension lead. Ran the cable under the neck skirt. It exits through the chin strap.
Easier to plug into than other units I’ve used in the past and works a treat.
Shame you can’t use the speakers and be able to plug in a headset. Personally I’ve never understand the logic of using earplugs to protect your hearing then using speakers to hear things. So I’ve always used in ear headsets

Thanks, I’ll take a look at that.

I used to have in-ear monitors from UE connected to a Sena20S that had an integral 3.5mm socket and it was superb for audio and avoiding noise so I would like to replicate that with my current C4 and SC1A or whichever new helmet and comms I get in future. If my C4 speakers use the same connectors it should be easy.

Next step will be to pester Sena again for a firmware update to the SC1A to enable whizz wheel volume control, I have asked them previously for this feature update.

I’m pretty sure the connection is different. The C5 comms are base on the 50R it’s a funny plug. I think the lead was about £15 and the extension a couple of £s. I us UE and as I said for less than £20 it’s sorted. I’ll take a picture of the socket if I remember and post it tomorrow

The socket is secured with a small cable tie
