Just got my lovely scuberth concept in the post this morning. The sun visor doesn't seem right to me though. It doesn't fully retract into the helmet when the slide is as far back as it will go. Worse still when the sun visor is fully down there is a gap between the top it and the helmet which would let shafts of sunlight stright into my eyes if sun in certain position. Anyone got one to hand and compare to my pics to see if something is wrong with mine.

Yep, dosn't look right to me, the sun visor clicks into place just that final little bit, but be careful the visor can easily break if handled roughly.

Cheers for quick replies. Ok so not right then. is it easily adjusted without me losing warranty or is it one of those things that is either right or wrong with no way of adjusting it. handbook in german so not of much use to me. A good example of the perils of internet( no outlets within 100 miles of me here) buying but hopefully UKGSER can put me right?

In the handbook it shows how to remove & replace the sun visor when cleaning

IIRC The visor has two holes that locate on the mechanism for lifting the visor and two slots that allow the visor to be clipped in place, it looks as if those slots/clips have come adrift (i broke mine off fiddling with them and now need a new sun visor:o )

Cheers shep. Sure enough the handbook had a couple of pics and so with your words and the pics I took visor of on one side, I half expected it to shatter in my hand and leave me seriously peeved, however when I did eventually put it back in all was well and visor now retracts as it should have and no more shafts of sunlight can get through to me eyes Must have been put in wrong in the factory!! Not a good omen for quality control if they can't spot something like that but it does feel like a lovely piece of work nonetheless. :thumb :thumb

Good news:thumb

A usefull tip if you are in the mood is to make sure you keep a torx/allen key the right size to fit the screws under the little oval covers either side on the black edging. The chin release mechanism is worked by a bowden cable and this snapped on an old C2 i was using, luckily it was not on my head at the time and i've carried the tool ever since just in case, if it stuck on my head I would just ride to the local fire station and ask for help, at least they wouldnt have to cut it off:nenau

When I bought my S1, I didn't care much for the visor, as the curved bottom edge left an awkward gap of light underneath.
I've since managed to turn the visor upside down so that the level bit is at the bottom, now I can use it as a sunshade, which for me is better as the tint is too dark for all but sunset riiding IMO.

Just in case you need the instructions in english, you can go onto the website they have the manual in english.

The dark/sun visor on my S1 has started to peel, any ideas where I can get a new one? Local dealer no longer an agent for Shuberth, is there a good internet/mail order schuberth agent?
