Scooters IN Sahara Update

An update from home.

The FCO advises against all travel to Woodford Bridge.

We advise against all travel to the area near Woodford's boarder with Chigwell, and the area surrounded by Claybury Hospital on top of a hill, because of the high risk of banditary, piracy and the activities of mentalist Tobrelone and Brandy theives operating in the area. In particular, from the cupboard of Insp. Byrne.

On a lighter note, hope all is going well in the sand. Very proud of my par and his pals. Good Luck!

Love James (Oblertone Jnr.)

P.S

I solved the 'selling the house' problem. ebay. Worked a treat. Also managed to flog the 3 BMWs you left in the garage. Left the change in the glove box of the Volvo (no one bidded for that). Jx

Hello James dear....:hug

Nice to hear you've managed to flog the house...saves your Dad doing it when he gets back.......why didn't he think of e bay?......:D
P.S....How's Rolo?...Tell him his cat's missing him......:)

Txt from aforementioned man says they've come through the Tizi n Test and are now camped on the same campsite of 2 years ago.....Dennis has so far managed to stay upright and not faceplanted the deck this time by practising his offroad technique......

Should start hotting up more now....weather wise......:D :bounce1

Elaine & me are currently in Agadir waiting for the others to catch up. They wentover the pass yesterday and report that it was clear, sunny & spectacular.

We are here because I left my meds in the hotel in Settat:blast:blast:blast:blast Had to shoot back from Marrakesh, then take the N road to Agadir, so missed the pass:(:(:(:(:(

Just had text from Paul. ETA in Agadir 11am.

If I can scrounge a card reader, I'll try to upload some piccies while we wait.

Just had 'phone call from Paul...they're on a campsite just outside of Tan Tan....everyone is in bungalow type thingies....although Dennis, our hardcore camper, bless him, is camping!...:)...Beef stew is on the menu tonight.....:)
They got to Agadir about 11am ish, where they met up with the Spegglets (Steve having forgot his meds)...and then had another 5 hours or so riding until they stopped for the night.....:)
Time wise, Paul thinks they're more or less on track....(last time we had to stay 24 hours in Tan Tan waiting for the Merc to be fixed)...so it would appear they're going to be on time (hopefully!) to meet Ian and me at Banjul....:bounce1:bounce1

Kinda cool seeing the C90 that languished in my garage for 3 years out in the African desert (the one with the natty MZ topbox)
Treat her gently guys!

all the best
Phil

Apparently just south of Layoune...everybody well.....:)

Hi Jaq say hello to the team from me when you get down there:thumb2
Still using my scoots calander at work last month for it now :( If i'm pissed of at work a quick glance reminds me that things could be worse and i've got a pretty good life really.
Keep up the good work :clap

Will do...:)....counting the days now.....:)....:clap

Allie, do you want me to take anything over for Dennis....or did he remember everything?....:bounce1

Spoke to Paul last night, as Allie said they were camped on the coast (which is fabby) about 45 miles south of Boudjour...I think he said they were hoping to get to Mauritania within the next couple of days. They found a nice welder chappie who mended the 2 exhausts that had fallen off (probably through too much wheelie ing), but Steves bike had totally seized up and so is permanently on the trailer...deceased, unless they can fix it when they get to their destination....the weather is still sunny....81 degrees yesterday (gits!)...and everyone is ok...:clap
I've been given a wish list...snoring strips for certain team members (I'm not dropping names..:)..)...and some decent booze......if Ian and I don't polish it off en route...
If anyone else can think of anything, then post answers on a postcard or failing that, here.....:bounce1
Right, I'm off to enjoy the rain......:(...but not for much longer..:D

Jaq......Do the team know that there is nobody apart from the Vet at Stella's camp?

She does know they're coming ,but David isn't there and Stella is in Hospital in the UK.

I'l getting the vet's name and Gambo moby number and I'll pass it on to you later :)
