Yes, the Project rolls on with the biggest ever cast now signed up for March next year.

However some of the team are struggling to find good C90s at anything like a reasonable price. So if you could keep a eye open in you local papers and shop windows for any post '83 C90s it would be much appreciated.

Either post here or email me on [email protected]

Also looking for any donations and sponsorship for this very worthwhile cause. The bikes, including those taken out on the original 2005 trip, are still saving lives on a daily basis. And please remember NO admin costs of any description are taken from the funds by either Scooters in the Sahara or by The Bansang Hospital Appeal.

Funds can be deposited via Paypal using [email protected] or by cheques made out either to Scooters in the Sahara or The Bansang Hospital Appeal ans sent to me at:
Cefn Garros, Pumsaint, Llanwrda SA19 8UU

Many thanks to all supporters old and new.

Dennis - I have a large van at your disposal should you need anything shifting from A to B and can probably store a scoot or three if it's helpful.

Would love to come with but can't quite see work letting me have the time :(

You can count on my support though :thumb2 practical or financial.

You know where to find me :D

Well done Dennis, I know how hard you work on this and how important it is to you.
£10 on route (I'll take it out of this weeks Jobseekers :D).

Edit: Paypal ... This recipient is currently unable to receive money

With £15 form every DVD going to the Bansang Hospital appeal, it can really make a difference, sell 1000 copies and the operating theatre can be rebuilt saving peoples lives every day, a further 2000 copies will allow another theatre to be built and the staff accommodation improved. The DVD is a 2 disc set including 5 episodes and extra features.

The Scooters in the Sahara DVD is the documentary of 9 men as they travel from the UK down through Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal and finally to the Bansang Hospital in The Gambia.

The journey was 4000 miles over snow capped mountains and through the Sahara desert its self, but what makes the journey truly remarkable is it was done on 90cc Scooters! As well as the 7 scooters there was a support truck driven by Ian and a Honda Benley 200cc, driven by Tom the trips cameraman. There goal was to reach a small hospital in The Gambia, which services a population of over 600,000 people. Once there the Scooters will be used to as a vital tool, giving doctors the ability to get out to the patients that can’t get to the hospital, and a way of collecting blood.

The DVD tells the warts and all story of this trip, including crashes, arguments, and touching moments. Following the group from the planning stages right though the demanding trip.

Tom Woodrow who made the DVD and is the camera man for the up and coming Dakar Diaries with Danny John-Jules and Graham Hoskins is also available to for talks, lectures and question and answer session at your club or event. This is done without charge as an opportunity to sell copies of the DVD and create awareness of the great work done by the Bansang Hospital and the Scooters in the Sahara project.

Great News

Great stuff!

Didn't realise you had it up there yet.

The new Scooters website you have done looks great :bow, nice one Dennis, I'll make sure I point people in the right direction!

Be great to see what the next trip is like, the great thing about the scooters trips in my mind, is every time the people change, therefore the group dynamic changes, which makes every trip completely different. Not to mention the good it does for the hospital!

Good luck everyone on the 2012 trip! Hope you have an awesome time! :clap

Passed by Cotswold today and picked up a copy. Looking forward to watching some of it tonight. :thumb
