Scoots In The Sahara Update thread

Charles has just phoned! They've not been able to get a signal for days. They are all fine and are just south of the capital of Mauritania, Nouakchott. Says it's not much of a place!
Does anyone know if Steptoe is home yet? They are all anxious to know because his clutch had gone.

Hi Stephen,
Neil is not home yet, don't worry he's a big boy. Pass on our very best to the team, they are doing very very well. :thumb

I'm back- arrived home 2pm this afternoon .

Hated leaving the group, wanted to carry on, on the GS .

Started off a bit chaotic, but once everyone knew their place, it settled down. I was the link between front and last bike, and the van. If any problems or messages had to be passed between leader and tailender, or ( very frequently) van, i shuttled back and forth, and it worked very well . My fuel consumption was amazing, toodling along at 40-45mph. I did go back and do the good roads again, then caught up with them - At one stop Jac said "did you see that GSER go past us the other way" -
"yes Jac, it was me amusing myself " :D

I'm so glad i went along, i've genuinly had an experiance of a lifetime with the tossers, sights and sayings i'll remember all my life -

Riding along in freezing fog on the way to marrakesh, along side Rev chuck, i looked at him, he looked at me, and i can't put into words the look on his face :D

Fanum, just after talking all sensible to a local in morocco, doing the biggest wheelie on a C90, unintentionly, it looked like it was coming down then off he went again ( no clutch lever to pull in) , he decided to step off the bike - but forgot the top box on the rear, which hit him right behind the knees, oh how we laughed. The local thought that was how he always rode .

Jamie, how many times can we see GIB in a day .

Good to see they're doind so well :thumb

There are many many more.
