Scotland at its bonniest

Nice one - really enjoyed that - you do a great funny Scottish accent - need a bit more practice though :D

Nice one Chris :thumby: Excellent scenery of Skye caught on a dry day

I subscribed to your utube channel a wee while ago after coming across your Alps trip which was brilliant

Keep up the good work.

Thanks Col,

I am intrigued by your location....Ecossestan??...I may need you to explain :D

Good video.

Four of us enjoyed those roads in sunshine at the beginning of September.

You may need to get special dispensation to stay on this forum unless you get into a serious pie eating diet and stop the healthy hill walking:D

Who were the musicians?

Packer,

It is an an amazing place in the sunshine, glad you got the weather also.

The music is from a band called the Decemberists.

Cheers Chris. I lived in Scotland for a few years and this brought back fond memories. Really must get myself back up for a visit ;) Thanks again

We missed the ferry at Mallaig a couple of years ago and decided not to wait for the next one, dam I wish we had now..
Thanks for another great video

Cheers Chris

Liked that, last walked qui rang in 1984 and used to ride a vfr before moving to a gsa, I think a wee run up to Skye next year. Am considering a camera at the moment, if you don't mind, what did you use? Helmet mount for all the on bike stuff I think? Velcro on?

Cheers rob

55.948623, -4.123290 Sounds more exotic than my home town ;) and the dan sarfers would never be able to pronounce it :D

brilliant chris.. i recognised a lot of places there…for those that have done done skye, the road to the Mallaig ferry is one of the best in the world in my opinion .then when you come off skye and over the bridge ,that road the A82 is the second best in the world !!!

Cheers Chris

Hello Rob,

The camera I have is the Drift Ghost HD, it is the main rival to the Go Pro but in my opinion it has better features for the motorcyclist. There is a wrist controller that you can start and stop the camera from on the move and it has a 360 rotating lens so wherever you mount it you can rotate the lens to vertical.

It is also more streamlined than the Go-Pro and only this week Drift have brought out a newer version of mine with all the spec but half the size!!!

As for mounting, whichever camera you go for will come with adhesive mounts, they are made by 3m and will not budge unless you use a hairdrier to heat them,I use one of those on my helmet, I also have lots of mounts for the motorcycle from a company called RAM MOUNTS....a really ingenious system for mounting on your motorcycle, just use your imagination and you can mount it nearly anywhere!!!

Chris...

I totally agree, 2 absolutely outstanding roads......I was on the Mallaig road a month ago on the Rt with the wife pillion, I kept getting the "slow down thump" from her.....lovely lovely road :D

Never been to Skye.....I think that just persuaded me that I must go one day.....looks gorgeous :)

Worth a proper embed I reckon :)

Chris, thank you so much for posting this, on these cold winter nights it really inspires. Also thanks for the info on the camera and mounts but can you tell us what software you use to put it together.
Thanks again.

A little detour on the coast road is well worth it, empty beaches and glorious views

It's a great film thanks for sharing, it may get more views in the ride report section perhaps :nenau
