I've recently moved back to Scotland from Liverpool where I dealt with Southport Superbikes who were fine.

I'd welcome advice on the Scottish dealers please.

For BMW - you're kind of limited to "motorrad central" on the south side of Edinburgh. (Clarks at Dundee next closest)

That said - I find MC to be good.

Another vote for MCE from me i've been with them since they started.............Good folk to deal with and they don't sell cars either................!

FP.

Personally I would rather travel to Dundee after poor service from MCW who were the same company as MCE before they moved everything to Edinburgh.

1150 and 1200 serviced by Clarks and never a complaint

I had problems with Motorrad Central Bishopbriggs , before they shut it down . MCE sorted out the problems and have been helpful since. Have used Clarks who were good . My local dealer is Calterdon Inverness who are also a car dealer. They have a good and helpful Bike mechanic at the moment.

MCE are totally different to MCW. MCW left an awfull lot to be desired on servicing issues.

I wouldn't deal with Clarks, it's a tag on to a car showroom, where the salesmen tend to look at you as if you've just shit on the floor. The one bike salesman they do have is a big galoot.

As above.
Except I wouldn't be so polite. The last time I was there, it descended into the salesman yelling at me across the showroom as he was so incensed that I was setting salesman against salesman.
I agreed. I was!
I was paying cash, no trade in. Why wouldn't you?

Just bought the red rallye pro 3 trousers and jacket.....£920 inc:pullface. Sold my old rallye 2 pro jacket and trousers on flea bay for £200 to help soften the blow !

There's a guy in Glenrothes has some great gear.............

Sorry ...... think I've misunderstood..... when you said you've moved from LIVERPOOL to Scotland and needed a good dealer.........:augie

It must just depend what kind of mood you get the Scottish dealers in when you go into purchase. To keep a long story short. I got the impression when I went to buy my new RT the Edinburgh dealer really had better things to do. I went home disappointed and phoned J Clarks in Dundee purchase made over the phone for a very good price for my old FJR and an extra bit off the RT.

Went back to MCE to have lock fitted to top box no charge when I was expecting at least half hour of labour....:clap:nenau

When the RT required it's 600 miler I phoned MCE was told £210.00 and no moving on price but could offer ACF 50 treatment for another £50.00.... I can spray that on myself so where is the saving???? It was in the middle of December.

Phoned Clarks (bearing in mind good discount on purchase price of bike) £180.00 which included picking up bike from Glasgow and taking it to Dundee. I do wish there was another dealer in Glasgow even for servicing as it's 100 mile round trip just to get to the Edinburgh dealer or 160 to get to Dundee.

Oh well.
