Anyone fitted one to their 1190 ? just wondered which model "E" or "V" seems like a good idea to me as no plans to off-road mine for the first year at least. [ if I can resist it ]. :D

I have bought a V version. Waiting for it to be delivered, so I can't be any help regarding the pros & cons of the E, but I went for the V on cost grounds, plus I did not want the problem of finding a suitable place for the E control panel.
I had a Scottoiler on my last chain drive bike (10 years ago), and I didn't get on with it very well - I am hoping for more success this time!

I have the KTM (orange) V scottoiler on my 1190A, migrated across from the 990A I had before, seems to work fine for me. The only I've had to keep a periodic eye on is the pipe end not blocking up in winter/moving etc.

V all the way, you need to adjust the flow to reflect the ambient temperature and they're fine. Just moved mine from my 990 to my 1190 and it works fine.

V it is then, thanks to all, :thumby:

Just a tip - when you come to fit the 6mm spigot for the vacuum take-off from the inlet tract (which is a bugger to get to!) make sure you re-use the washer from the KTM screw that you have just removed.

I have just discovered that I have omitted to do this -I am now wondering if I need to take it all apart to fit the washer.

Anyone got any thoughts as to whether it is essential that I fit it or not?
