Its totally different, I am bit underwhelmed at the the moment if I am honest. I know its not a rocket ship, but it does feel a bit too slow.
PHOTO-2025-03-28-09-04-55.jpgI guess (and hope) its just an adjustment period.

I had a Scrambler 900 for a few days whilst my Rally Pro 900 was in for work. I didn’t quite like it, great for a couple of hundred miles around the Dales backroads. I wouldn’t want to ride long days or fast roads such as motorway or dual carriageway on it. I did have a sit on the 1200 but it just felt like a heavier version of the same bike. I quite fancy having a ride on the Scrambler 400. Mine is in again later this month so maybe.

The 400x gets some good reviews, I’m seriously considering downsizing to the Triumph, 450 Himalayan or Guerrilla.

What about the Royal Enfield Bear 650 ?
Some Great reviews on YouTube

My new Norton is the same sort of weight but 80bhp, and it's juuuuust about enough to make the ride engaging. So I would think 65hp would feel a little sedate.

That’s on the list as well, I do ride with a pillion so the extra 10/12 bhp may be the way I go, fortunately got both dealers within 10 miles of me.

The 1200 is a different animal. Spent 4 hours on motorways on mine yesterday going down to the Kickback show and back, cruising between 70 and 90 in comfort.

A few miles in.......I like it, once you get used to a more sedate pace it sort of flows and relaxes you a bit. Good bit of torque too, I wont be riding it to Croatia , but yeah, its good.

Did they fit the two different powered engines in the 900?
I know the Street Twin had the uprated engine fitted from 2019. Performance of the uprated engine was ok when worked, but compared to my Speed Twin 1200, it was sluggish. The torque of the 1200 engine was really addictive and easily put a grin on yer face!
