Scratched Adv wheel

Depends on how badly you've scratched it i suppose, for tiny stone chips etc. I use a standard satin black touch up pen from your local motor factors and a really fine brush, anythin bigger and its gonna be trial and error i think
You'll struggle, the rims on the ADV are anodised not painted.
There isn't a specific paint code as such.
Best guess will be a bit of gloss black touch up but it'll be making the best of a bad job at best I'm afraid.
I got white chemical marks on mine and I used black boot polish, it doesn't last forever but it'll impregnate the now naked alloy and of course you can buff it up!

If it is a 1200 the wheel rims are not anodised they are painted black, any satin black will match

Well I have the front wheel from my 2011 R1200GSA sitting next to me by the computer in my bedroom which has just come back from repair, it is minus the front tyre and checking out the inner surfaces of the rim it is painted black and NOT anodised . I have owned the bike from new so draw your own conclusions
Black is black, colour it in with a felt tip if your poor, if its been an ok year buy yourself some touch up paint , if your a city banker (and got your bonus) give me a call.

Yes. Its called road dirt; i.e. don't clean yer wheels. Nice and simple.

Ally can be anodized or powder coated. But not with the wheel built up.

It's a bit of a contradiction if you scratch your wheel on an 'adventure' but I'd be a bit p*ssed if I scratched one of mine!

Best you don't even think of fitting your own tyres when current ones have worn out.
And don't take it off road either as you might scratch something else...

Can you not see this scratch has become a adventure. How much money, time and life will it cost, keep reading folks.
Is there a RR for when it happened?

Leave it as it is, will make the bike look like it's been used as for what it was designed for and not a shoe piece
